it personally bothers me that a lot of hard working staff memebers, and server hosts are not getting anything payed back
i know very well that this is for fun but i think its a shame that we dont show our appreciation enough…

suggestions: Patreon
we players DONT have to pay to play the game, but if WE WANT TO HELP the game out, we could donate some money

i discussed this with my boyfriend aswell,he said the following:

“what i see in general, its the lack of incentives for donating
let me put an example: a way to say “thank you” for trying something
games in greenlight or early access tend to do this even if its just a couple of skins for some stuff
dont starve together did it with the campfire and the torch, they dont change the use of these, just the looks
i mean, im not a developer of any sorts, i could be wrong…but as of now, i see people that are not donating because THEY DONT GAIN ANYTHING WITH IT”

with that said, what do YOU think? do you as a community think its worthy?

Players like the spriter team make majority of the contribution to the game. How would money be distributed?

i understand what you mean! though im not entierly sure how patreon works
i assume that one of the main staffs hold in the patreon and every month hands over the others the money they gained through paypal, like a real job

i think the entire community works hard to keep the game alive, staff mostly but sometimes players too. but i dont think theyll accept money for personal stuff. why not raise money so we can get a better server or more servers idk? the staff running this game are nice enough to use the money for that.

also i know i dont say this enough but thank you staff for all your effort. i can be very salty but for these 5 seconds i really wanna thank you guys…dont get used to it tho XD

I don’t want to be paid-- I willingly give my time of day to a fan game I love, and I’m sure Nintendo would hammer and anvil us deader than dead for personal gains made off of their stuff even if the intention is good-willed… if anything, any form of donation money would be used for server upkeep purposes only iirc.

What you’re saying is understood, but appreciation by paying staff isn’t a great idea imo. However non-monetary means are fine-- threads, artwork, videos, etc.
