Hansel <-> Gretel Reversed (A poem made by Effusus)

Every story has a story, every story has a name.
Every story has a “hero”, and a character to blame,
Every story has a story, which hides that the authors are insane,
But even though things are a flutter, we shall play a silly game.

Go to the crossroads, where almost every fairytale is lost,
There you will see a scene, which will make your weary heart,
Float like a fluffy tart.

“Hello there, oh, dear witch! Why not sit down with us,
How is the weather, how is the candy-coated clouds?”
Gretel greets you with a confectionary smile,
Which is as rotten as very sour limes.

“Oh, so you’re a warlock, no, seriously take a seat and eat these sweets!
You must be weary from a Long Boys’* journey!”
Hansel greets you with a giant candy cane in hand,
But a peppermint chill comes, and in your place is where it lands.

“So what do you think of all these sweets? (A chocolatey trick)
Now, show us your smile with rotten teeth. (But first, you is who we’ll treat.)
Do you feel the sugar rush? As the world swirls in colors,
When you’re finally done, then you will see a few horrors.”

WE were jesting!

“Hey! Hey! Hey! So what will it be!?
Trick or treat, you and me,
Oh, just please choose quickly,
Or we’ll have to choose both.”

“Mochi, mochi***, hello,
One, two, three,
Have you been addicted to this sweet symphony?
It’s a thrill is it not?”

Slowly as you teeter to your bed, Gretel shows up with a licorice-like blanket.
“Oh are you sleeping now, first take this, you might need it.”
But then you fall asleep to fast.

“Now sleep on your marshmallow pillow,
And sleep 'till the dawn will break”
Of course, I was lying,
Everything was a trick!

The world slowly would dance and prance,
As your jaw breaks, from too many cavities everywhere!
This is the price for when we gave you glee,
Whether fat, whether lean**, it’s time for our happiness!

Doze into sleep, very deep,
Welcome to a world, where devil’s food is born,
Now you regret, you fat, little pig;
Now fall into Gehenna’s pit.

This is what the witch did to me,
Feel our glee which turned into melancholy.
Heave ho! Heave ho! Be dragged into our eternity,
Can you see, the flames that will soon cook you.

Now’s your turn, to make us happy,
Now go in, jump with this melody!

But this is my end of this story,
It is your own choice to make an ending.

* Long Boys is a type of caramel candy, usually in a rod form.
** In the original story of Hansel and Gretel, while feeding Hansel many sweets, Hansel tricked the blind witch into thinking that a bone from a past victim of hers was his finger, the witch then said this before cooking him.
***Mochi is an Ice Cream in Japan, usually enveloped around dough, also, saying Mochi Mochi in japanese is saying Hello (only said at the start of a cellphone conversation).

So, what do you think? Any hints, anything I need to change (This is the short version of the poem), help me in my poem making, and sorry if anything here offends anyone.

This was absolutely BEAUTIFUL! It was such an enjoyment to read it. Thank you for writing this, and keep it up! :joy:
