I agree with the lock house command.
I don’t like the password idea, honestly.
Because what if someone says “Come check out mah house!”
And has a password;
That would be rude and disrespectful, and probably leading to pointless arguments. :’:

And the player who is coming to the users house, can PM them and ask to unlock for them.
I think there should be a lock house command so people/stalkers can’t just walk into your house and do bad things. I think its needed due to people coming to houses and ruining all the fun and you might want a private conversation with someone as well so I think PMU might need a lock house command
What kind of bad things are we talking about that they could do? And as for a private conversation, we have whisper.
Note: Staff have made a /emptyhouse command.
This still would be good, it’s WAY easier than private chat.
for example if someone’s name was HiIliKeToEaTPiZzA86130, then it would take a long time to type there name before every message…

I think that suggestion would be useful to eveyone and would give the houses another utility, so I agree.
Okay think Agunimon said this point. Houses are made for showing off. If you are so concern about private conversations you can always go to an alt’s account that’s inactive. And if someone is BOTHERING you in your house, report them. It’s not that hard honestly :/
This idea HAS been suggested a lot of times, and is O.K. But as Lman said houses are made for showing off.
They have already made the /emptyhouse command to kick all of the players out of your house.
We just got a lot of cool and new updates, I think we have enough for now, especially with the signs.

but it is also where alot of people roleplay, and example yesterday when me and Darko and Gini and Taiyo and Stijn was gonna rp alot of people invaded mai house .-. and ruined it, kind of annoying after we had mostly prepeared. <,<
and because of the delay I had to go sleep, and Taiyo had to go away tooo ; w;
so some kind of lock would be handy, but if we could figure out a way where people wouldn’t abuse it.
Because, sure, invading houses IS fun, but even I leave a house when its filled with more than two people. (if I see that they are RPing I leave of course~~)

yeah! RP’s are practically destroyed, The lock house is so much better, especially with the combination of /emptyhouse, so everyone is out, and when only concerned people are in /lockhouse
Plus that day abra and I were creating a game of clues, and keldeo came to whichever house we went, cause we were making new alts at that time and it says “welcome blahblah to pmu” so yeah, he knew where we were, so it isn’t JUST rp’s is LOADS of other things.

Both of your points about RP are true. But it’s still possible to ignore them in a whole. Also, if after awhile, they don’t stop, it’s considered trolling. (Now I don’t think if they aren’t talking it shouldn’t be a problem) So report them! C:

Who here hosts a dual shop, meaning 2 players sell there goods together? Now who here hosts a guild shop that the whole guild is apart of? Doesn’t it become a hassle to have to collect pick up everything/what’s yours or to leave it barricaded? What if there was a way to close the house off to vistors?
This command is simple, /lockhouse. It closes the house off to everyone except the ownet and staff. Only the owner and staff can use the command and use /unlockhouse to reallow Vistors.
Pros
-Closes house to allow you to setup shop or an item hide and seek
-2 simple command additions. Doesn’t take much scripting to add

-What happens if the owner goes afk while house is locked?
-Complaints about random unlockings
-Not intended for use for non shops. mapping contests, solo players
-What are the fees to use this
-Trolls locking their shop
When you mean “staff”, do you mean players already inside the house? Also, if a player “locks” his/her house, players should at least be able to leave. Other than that, I support.
If all you want is to make a guild shop you can make an account and share the username and password with the members, change it if one leaves or whatever. Thus you can transfer the items, block the shop, and telport into the zone to leave items at. We do this with some peeps at our guild, though shiranui house is bugged now.
Its not that i dont like the suggestion, just that the use you want to give it has… uhh solutions i guess, and faster than house locks, and not in the sense of coding, but in the sense of just logging off and on or using sandboxie while your other account plays.
The command wouldn’t just be for guild shops; it could also be used for other reasons like mapping a house, hosting a private party, private RP, et cetera.
What i mean by staff is the mappers and admins of the game. And of course players can leave the house once locked. they just cant re enter until unlocked. Otherwise, outrage would occur about houses becoming the new jail
As whatt said, this can be used for personal uses such as
-mapping in peace
-just want to be left alone
-preperation for an event or rp
I also tried the shared shop trick where it was 1 account that trustworthy friends used. When i got assistance to get my account back, i found out the character was wiped. Either all items were withdrawn or the rollback undid everything, which is what i suspect. The account has since been removed by me
