The judging will begin soon, and I’ll fill in along with Drakos for the prizes. Good Luck to everyone who’s participating! Remember, it’s the effort that counts. Even if you loose, it’s okay as long as you tried. Lets hope this turns out to be a good experience for everyone! ^-^

So, guys. I know you all want better rewards, so here’s what I got so far:
100k + Electrizer for Custom Sprites overall winner.
100k + Magmarizer for Mugshots overall winner.
100k + Protector for Exploration Team Cards winner.
100k + Coronet Rock for Comics winner.

I will also be doing prizes for each sub-category as well, but I’ll tell you those later. Anyway, I hope more of you decide to join the contest!

Why don’t you switch the Protector and Electirizer, because an Exploration Team Card is relatively harder to make than a custom sprite. Also Electirizers are harder to get in PMU.

Hm… I see your point. However, the Custom Sprite and Mugshot categories were supposed to be the ‘main’ categories, as they have the most members. Magmarizer and Electrizer are sort of twin items, which would make sense for the main two categories. Anyway, about them being harder to get, well, there’s more competition Custom Sprite/Mugshot. So in some respects, they’re harder.

Welcome to the “Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Sprite Contest”. This is basically a competition to test your skills in spriting, working with Pokemon Mystery Dungeon sprites. The categories are as followed: Mugshots, Custom Sprites, Exploration Team Cards, Comics. Some of these have their own sub-category. I will go into detail a little later in the post.

Okay yeah I get that,but I hate doing Pokemon Mystery Dungeon sprites??

it’s not like i’m going to change my mind all of a sudden…!

nevertheless,they should still count it because it’s completely related to custom sprites,yes??

Basically, replace the colours on a PMD sprite with the colours of another Pokemon, or completely custom colours.
Accessories
Put an item of clothing on a PMD sprite, for example a hat or bandanna.
Fusion
Most likely the hardest sub-category of the “Custom Sprites”. Basically, take part of one PMD sprite, and stick it onto another sprite.

I did read the instructions,mind you. It’s just I dislike how people can take the PMD sprites and just recolour it,or take parts from yet another sprite and just ‘fusioning’ it. It shows no effort aside from putting made sprites to a sprite that you put no effort on. I take contests seriously rather then just edit bits and pieces. “Test your skills in spriting.” I did,and I did not take sprites from another website and just edit it.

I gotta agree with Boxes here, Reskins just aren’t really a creative thing. But, I can understand that its a sprite contest, and reskins are the most effective way to get things done.

Maybe you or someone else can make a PMD drawing contest later in the future.
