[Roleplay] Echoes of the Beasts

“… What… ?”
Iris woke up slowly, muttering things to herself. “… What time is it,” she had finally been able to say. She looked around and eventually looked to her nightstand. A ton of things were on it; coins, pencils, a notebook, figurines of random characters, and, of course, her clock. Her clock was a plain, black digital one. It read the time in bold, red digital print.

The clock read… exactly 8:00 AM. Just as she stared at her clock, it began to ring. Isn’t today the day…, her thought hadn’t finished as she rushed to get out of bed. “It is that day ! Oh goodness, oh goodness, oh goodness,” she had said, happily. A small squeal escaped her mouth.

She slid on her bunny slippers and ran downstairs. They squeaked as she walked down the staircase she had known well. “Mmm,” Iris had said as she smelled the scent of pancakes, eggs, and sausage. “Do you need any help, Lily ? I don’t mind helpin—,” she was cut off when her aunt replied with, “No, sweetie, go get ready. They’re coming by to pick you up today ~” Iris nodded and went back up to her room.

“What to wear… I suppose I’ll wear the usual,” she said in a thought to herself. She then shuffled through her closet, pulling out a few select clothing items. She then went into her washroom to shower and change into her clothes and brush her teeth.

Once Iris finished her shower, changing clothes, and brushing her teeth, she stepped out of her washroom and went back downstairs. She then went back to her room and got her pale green backpack. Inside, was her bladed fan, a pair of back-up glasses, her MP3 player, and 2 boxes of Pocky.

“Our last breakfast for awhile, eh ?,” her aunt said with a sigh. Iris tilted her head. “Wha… ? Last breakfast ? I’m moving out… ?,” she had asked. “Oh ! I must’ve forgotten. I bought you your own place closer to the guild. I mean, I don’t want you having to run too far just to get there,” Lily had explained to her niece. “Besides, I’m sure you’re old enough to live alone now,” she had added.

Iris stared at her aunt as she set the table. “It’s only…” she counted on her fingers before saying, “Four towns away. I don’t mind running that fa—,” she was cut off by her aunt saying a simple no. Iris sighed and nodded. She helped her aunt set the table as she thought about her new life all alone. “Oh, right, it’s a two bedroom. So one of your guild friends can probably live with you,” she said in a matter-of-fact voice.

Iris sighed and replied with an okay. Once they finished putting everything on the table, Iris began to eat slowly. She, of course, at the sausage first. “Amazing as always, auntie,” she said in her famous monotone voice. She then proceeded onto eating her pancakes as she heard a knock at the door. “Eh… ? Are they here already ?,” she asked as she heard the door being knocked. Iris stood up and answered the door whilst her aunt continued eating her breakfast.

“Good morning, Iris Amaliya Ivanova, I presume.”
A young man with pinkish brown hair bowed to her as he stood on her doorstep. He had sparkling brown eyes, a small nose, and freckles on his cheeks. He looked as if he were 16. “My name is Ricky. I have come to show you to the guild known as, ‘Nature Echoes’. We will be getting a few other new recruits as well,” he said with a very gentle voice.

He then stepped aside and revealed a large carriage being pulled by two, pure white horses. “This is my magic. Transportation,” he said in his calm voice. Iris was overwhelmed. She hadn’t known a magic such as that existed. She pulled her backpack over her back and took one step out of her door. She then turned back and waved to her aunt. “… Bye, aunt Lily. Thank you for caring for me,” she said in a gentle voice she hadn’t know she could use. Her aunt nodded and waved back.

Iris turned back to the carriage and walked slowly to it. She took a gulp and entered. No one was in it except for herself. “I must be the first person he picked up then,” she muttered. Iris then looked around a bit more and noticed how beautiful it was in there. There were red velvet seats, and a sturdy, wooden floor. She then sat in the red velvet seat to the furthest left, and the boy who called himself Ricky sat in the driver’s seat and off they went, to get the other new recruits.

OOC// Alright. You can say Ricky came and picked you up, or a character who is named Speed. Speed is the complete opposite of Ricky, and is his twin brother. They look just alike, except for Speed’s deep blue eyes. Remember, Speed is Ricky’s OPPOSITE. This means, Speed doesn’t act like a gentleman. He acts more like… a bad boy. Also, the RP takes place in a the location Japan used to exist in, just a heads up.

OOC// Long post AWAY! (Just a bit of forewarning).

Gunshots. Three. One repeating after the other from the tall teenager at the far end of the range. The shooting range itself looked like little more then the ones that would have been found a hundred or so years before, nothing impressive, nothing particularly important about it except that it was only a short ride away from the place the boy lived. Five more steady shots and a clip drops from the gun, quickly replaced by another.

Mathew James Monroe. Sixteen and more interested in absorbing knowledge then in living life to its fullest. The boy’s glasses reflected the light falling from above, only adding to the intensity of his look. Upon close inspection, one would note that the glasses did little more then polarize in the sunlight like most others, and certainly weren’t used for any eye problems. Six more shots and the gun fell into its holster. Mathew removed the ear plugs and retrieved the target.

“Not bad,” a voice called from behind him. Mathew simply shrugged and turned from his inspection of the target to the boy much like himself standing where he had been moments before. Much like him in age at least, the kid had spiked hair, an unzipped jacket, and otherwise rebellious attire. “Today’s the day you get to ride off to that guild, and you’re spending your morning at the shooting range, typical of you,” the kid said as he approached Mathew.

Nicholas Barter, Mathews friend since his earlier years living in the area. “What do you expect to be fighting against anyway? I mean you carry around those and a knife like someone’s after your life.”

Mathew shrugged. “Who knows,” he said with little emotion.

“How are those guild people supposed to find you here anyway?” Nicholas asked, raising an eyebrow to put emphasis on the point.

Another shrug, “They’ll find me.”

Nick rose an eyebrow and leaned back against the wall, disappointed with the lack of reaction. He looked his friend up and down as he retrieved the spent casings and straightened back up. “Alright then, where are you going to live? The guild isn’t exactly close by.” Yet another indifferent shrug, but no reply. “You don’t have the money to get a place, and your aunt and uncle live all the way out here. Not just that but your mom i-”

“Leave that out of this,” Mathew interrupted, suddenly hostile. “I’ll do something, heck, I can turn down the guild if there are too many issues. It’s not a requirement to go there,” he turned away. He hated that Nicholas could break his composure, it was something he’d always been able to do, and something that had always pushed his own patience.

Nick followed him out as he turned in his pass to the range keeper and found himself standing in the crowded streets of the city. “Hey Matt, what do you think of that?” he asked, nodding to the carriage that was waiting nearby.

“I think,” Mathew said, adjusting his glasses, “that they found me.” He smiled and tugged at the pack on his shoulder. “This is goodbye, for the time being,” he said, turning to face Nick. “Take care of yourself.”

“Hey, I’m not the one offering to run into danger here,” Nick said in his usual sarcastic way, “See you around man.”

“Mathew Monroe, I would take it?” the voice belonged to a young man who had just stepped out of the carriage.

“That is me,” Mathew said, observing the white carriage. It wouldn’t have been his first choice of a ride, “Victorian Era full carriage, not a bad replication.”

The youth smiled and nodded, “My name is Ricky, I’ll be taking you to the guild, as you’ve certainly been informed. One of the other recruits is already inside, if you would…”

“Of course,” Mathew said, smiling politely. He turned to look at his friend, “See you.”

“You know where I’ll be,” Nick said, giving a kind, but awkward smile. With that, Mathew climbed into the Coach and sat himself down next to the only other person there, besides Ricky, of course. He gave her a curt smile and turned to inspect the inside of the carriage.

(Much longer then I intended… much. 'Tis my style though.)

Beep. Beep. Beep. The alarm clock on Rhode’s bedside table had been going off for about three minutes and yet Rhode made no movement to turn it off. Beep! Beep! Beep! Rhode sat up quickly and smacked the snooze button on the alarm clock. Rhode looked at the time and noticed that it was eight o’clock. Rhode blinked tiredly as she got out of her pajamas and put on her blouse and skirt. She ran a brush through her hair, but it still spiked out in every which direction no matter what she tried to do so she left it alone. She grabbed a long red ribbon from off her desk and tied it in a bow around the neck of her blouse.

Rhode’s little home was a small one bedroom apartment that was pretty cheap. Since Rhode ran away from home, she had worked up the money to rent the small apartment on her own. Her friend Tiki would help her out every now and then, but since he was more of a gambler than a worker, he didn’t make much money to begin with.

Rhode smiled. Today was her thirteenth birthday physically speaking. She is actually three and a fourth years old because of being born on a leap year. Today also happens to be the day when she joins The Guild. Finally. Rhode had always wanted to get away from her normal life and now she finally could put her abilities to good use.

Rhode opened her door to reveal a person standing outside. “Hello. Are you perhaps Rhode Aria Kamelot?” The man standing at the door said. Rhode nodded and replied. “Yes I am. Are you from the guild?” The man nodded. “My name is Ricky. I am from the guild known as ‘Nature Echoes’. It is time to go and the others are waiting in the carriage.” Rhode nodded. She slipped on her black shoes and grabbed ‘Rero’, her umbrella from the closet. She walked outside and followed Ricky to the horse drawn carriage. He opened the door and Rhode stepped inside, the door closing behind her.

ooc//My first posts are terrible…

Grace sat on her bed twiddling her thumbs. The clock on the wall constantly ticking while the alarm silently sat and faintly lit the darkness. Waking up before her alarm was an odd habit Grace tends to experience, no matter what time the alarm is, providing she is sleeping at all, she will wake up at leaset three minutes before it.

Grace had made a chart long ago coveying the proof of this weird timings, turns out no matter how she slept she would wake up to early.

The digital clock flashed briefly and caught Grace’s attention immediatly, it then began to dim down slowly, before lighting back up. The batteries were starting to go, but before she had a chance to pick it up her door bell rang. Grace was already dressed by now, she had woken up way before she should have.

Swinging her cardigan around her hips and tying it in a knot on her waist. She walked to the door to see Cody standing there with a slight smile on his face. Grace tutted and ruffled his hair, before giving him a hug.
“bit early arn’t you?”

Cody shook his head and laughed. “nope, this is the time you said”
Grace sighed then shrugged, letting him go. “well, come in then I guess”
Cody nodded then walked in after Grace, closing the door behind him.

The two sat in the living room for a while then simply talked to each other about completely random topics of all sorts, when the doorbell rang once more.
Grace leant forward to get up, but Cody beat her to the door.
He swung open the door to see an older looking boy, he was taller, but didn’t look much older.
“urh, can I help you?” He said, arching his eyebrow slightly.

The boy nodded. “Yes, is this where a miss Nguyen lives?”
Cody leant on the door frame, crossing his arms. “yeah, what’s it to ya?”
Grace laughed and placed her hand on his shoulder, startling him a little, Cody always acted tough, but it was always an act…usually.

Grace looked at the boy outside her house and nodded. “I am Grace Maia Nguyen, and I take it you are…”
“My name is Ricky, I am from a guild known as the ‘Nature Echoes’. I have come to-”
Cody rolled his eyes and hopped out the door. “you’re here for us then eh?” He said putting on an australian accent.
Grace giggled then walked out after him. “sorry 'bout that” she said to Ricky before trotting to the carriage after Cody.

In the Carriage were three other people. An young white haired girl, A boy with glasses and another girl with short, spiky hair of an unatural color, but then again, what is there to prove you cannot be born with blue hair…in a non-literal sence.

OOC// Sorry for my late reply. I got distracted and forgot to type this.

The carriage had stopped near what appeared to be a shooting range. Ricky left and returned with another male in a matter of minutes.

Iris looked at the boy with glasses as he entered and sat next to her. She adjusted her own and returned the smile he gave her. “'Allo,” she said in an accent that sounded both German and Russian at the same time. “I suppose I should introduce myself ? I mean, we are going to be guild-mates soon, so,” she said, almost to herself. “I’m Iris; Iris Amaliya Ivanova. Some people call me Ivy though, so it doesn’t matter to me what you call me,” she said in an introduction that had her monotone voice.

The carriage moved on… Ricky stopped outside an apartment home and left. He went to the doorstep of the house and brought a girl back to the carriage this time.

She entered the carriage, she had short, spiky hair. Iris sighed and showed another one of her smiles. “'Allo,” she greeted once again with her same accent. “I’m Iris; Iris Amaliya Ivanova. You may call me either Iris or Ivy, I don’t mind which,” she said in a monotone voice. “Also, I love your hairstyle, it fits you very nicely,” she had added as a compliment.

It moved once again, it was getting a bit crowded, and Iris calculated that probably only 3 more people could fit in total. The carriage stopped moving after awhile and stopped in front of another home. This time he stood there for a few moments before bringing, this time, two people.

As the entered the carriage, Iris let her smile appear for the third time as she introduced herself once again, “I’m Iris; Iris Amaliya Ivanova. You can call me either Iris or Ivy,” she then added, “Are you two siblings ? You kind of look alike.” “Then again, you live together, so that’s kind of obvious,” she said under her breathe to herself.

The carriage began to move again, to either the last person’s home or the guild.

OOC// One more person can get into Ricky’s carriage, anyone after has to go in Speed’s. :3 Also, I’ve decided that Speed will drive a white limo rather than a carriage. So yar.

Cody tightly shut his eyes and blushed. He put his hand on the back of his head and gave a slight laugh.
“no no, we’re just friends, I came around earlier this morning you see”
Grace smiled and cowered backwards slightly. She looked among the others and sighed.
“well, nice to meet you Iris” Said Cody, holding an outstretched hand towards her. “I’m Cody, Cody Luca Marian, yes I know my surname is a girl’s name, feel free to laugh” He said in a jovial manner.

Grace sighed then gulped. “my name is Grace Maia Nguyen” (pronounced Nwen…kinda)
She looked among the others then gave a forced smile, but she tried to make it look as authentic as she could. Her sudden spark had just left with her stomach sadly.

As soon as the carriage started to move, Grace lost her footing and fell backwards into the seat.
Cody stumbled a little, but he was able to adjust his footing, looking out the window, wondering where they were going next.

Rhode smiled at the white haired girl. " It’s nice to meet you Iris. My name is Rhode Aria Kamelot. Please call me Rhode." Rhode heard the girl mention something about her hair and she smiled again. “My hair is like this naturally. No matter what I do with it, it likes to stick out in many directions instead of down. I’m glad you like it though. Not many do. they all say it’s too messy but I guess it’s because of how I cut my hair. I have to cut my own hair because people just don’t cut it the way I want it done. Oh I’m talking too much again. I should probably stop talking now.” Rhode grew quiet her face red. Rhode always talked a bit too much and gave a bit more detail then what people often expect. Rhode smiled at the people in the carriage trying to keep from talking.

((OOC: Time for some space time distortion.))

Mathew smiled at the girl once more as she greeted him, a charming, but knowing smile. The girl herself seemed rather forward, something that was appreciable when so many other teenagers of the age were shy or over-reactive, “Iris, a lovely name, not as common these days as it used to be,” he said warmly he spoke in a charming, fluent way, only a tinge of his father’s British accent inside his voice, “My name is Mathew James Monroe, most just call me Matt though,” he glanced outside the carriage as he spoke, eye contact was something he was terrible with when wearing the glasses, it made him feel like he was lying.

As the other individuals entered, one after each stop, Iris greeting them in the same way, Mathew remained silent. He thoroughly studied the postures and the faces of each of the other soon-to-be guild mates. They all brought with them something, but none of them carried a weapon as far as he could tell. He wondered if Nick had been right about not needing to train so thoroughly.

As yet more people clambered into the Carriage, Mathew began to feel claustrophobic, something that he was usually immune to. His eyes drifted to the outside world time and time again, unable to bear trivial conversation among so many people. He quickly began to hope that they would arrive at the guild sooner then later.

Jarik stood outside the Redmond house, or near mansion really. By all means the Redmonds were wealthy, however they did not act it. That was why Jarik had decided to stay with them, they were honest, down to earth people. The guild had contacted his a week before about joining, and he responded monotonously(though he had great enthusiasm about the whole thing) the he would. Now was the day of his departure, his family had known he was leaving, he had said goodbye, and walked out the door down the drive towards the street. All he had was his Rifle, folded up into a small case, and his pistol strapped to his side.

Soon a white limo pulled up. It seemed empty. The person driving stepped out, not in clothing normally assosiated with someone driving a limo "Jarik Redmond?" he asked

"Yes sir," I replied "An interesting ride you have."
He grunted an answer as Jarik entered the limo, taking a seat. With no one else there he decided to lounge on the seats as the limo started moving.

OoC: I’m gonna assume credit cards exist during this time?

Tick tock tick tock, the clock sounded with each passing second. The average person would assume that it was one of the older models from years back, no this clock was digital, and broken. The constant ticking of the darned thing would drive anyone insane in a room like his after so long. It was silent, far too silent for any normal person to stay for too long before going nuts. Daniel however, enjoyed the silence of his room. It let his mind wander to wherever he wanted it to. It let him go over the days events and imagine what he could be. It was his sanctuary, the one place Daniel could be at peace and not be disturbed. Of course that doesn’t mean much. Not very many people bother him anyway. Daniel tends to avoid being detected, despite emitting a faint aura that any and everyone can see.

“It’s almost time to go…” Daniel said with a sigh. He didn’t even look toward the clock to tell the time. Daniel was really good at guessing the hour and is sometimes even correct with the exact time, even without any real way of telling the time of day.

Daniel climbed out of his bed and stepped out of his room down the hallway toward the front door. I should at least say goodbye before I leave. He’d passed by both of his parents who had been heading in the opposite direction. They seemed to be busy discussing something and didn’t notice him as he snuck past. …They won’t even notice that I’m gone. He continued toward the door, stopping only to open the door.

“Daniel!” His mother’s voice called out to him. Crap, I shouldn’t have been so slow… He turned around to see both his parents glaring at him. Daniel only grinned at the two and noticed his father holding an envelope out to him. Daniel took the envelope and left out of the house without saying a word, but instead gave the two a warm smile as he glanced back at the two.

He didn’t go far though, stopping at the sidewalk after realizing that he’s supposed to be waiting for transportation. His parents were watching him, not out of concern but more of confusion as to why he just stopped at the sidewalk. It didn’t take long for a white limo to show up, pulling over just in front Daniel and someone stepped out. A young boy maybe in his late teens, give or take one or two years. It didn’t take long for Daniel to realize that he most likely wouldn’t like this guy had he spent time with him.

“Daniel Wright?” The boy asked.

“Yes?” Daniel answered, only to be motioned toward the door of the passenger seat as the driver went back to his own. “…Jerk” He entered the limo, halfway hoping that he would be the first one there. He wasn’t which only served to make him a bit paranoid. Daniel sat in the farthest seat possible from his “company”, avoiding eye contact as well.

Soon the limo stopped, another recruit Jarik imagined. The door soon opened and someone stooped in, taking a seat on the opposite side of the compartment. Sitting up and offering his hand, Jarik asked, “Whats up with our driver? Anyway names Jarik, Jarik Redmond. Nice to meet you”

OOC: Short post is bad…but conversations must happen

ooc// Sorry for my absence and such. Been doing up a bit of reading for a few events currently controlling my life. ^^" Apologies for the poor post, not much going on so far I feel.

Grace turned to the girl with the blue hair, she still had pondering thoughts of whether she had dyed it or not, but she did try harshly not to stare, occasionally averting her gaze to that of her surroundings and the details of the carriage.
She was quite startled when Cody had lost his footing and fallen into her lap.

Grace giggled playfully shoving him off, blushing slightly when she realised that the others had most likely seen the little trip as well.

Cody leant back in the seat casually, shaking off what little embarrasment he felt. He bravely looked among the people, and he also saw the girl’s blue hair which he felt had sparked Grace’s interest. He knew she would never pluck up the courage. He leant his head on her shoulder, still sleepy from the early morning.

Grace put her hand softly on his head, ruffling his hair then placing it beside his neck, resting on his shoulder. The relationship between them didn’t seem like simple friends, more like siblings caring for each other, siblings which didn’t constantly fight on that note. Some even described Grace’s affection towards Cody as maternal, but she never really knew what that means, nor does she now.

Cody’s eyes slowly cracked open to first see the boy opposite him. He picked up the slight sence of awkwardness and gave a small chuckle. He rubbed the back of his head against Grace’s soft neck and faced the roof of the carriage, for long had he missed his own mother, having been away from home for some time.

Currently he had been living in appartment which his father was renting out, for the temporary wait of their house’s roof to repair.

While their house was under construction, his mother had to go work abroad for a few months, his seemingly ‘broken’ relationship with his father didn’t reassure him at all, but being with Grace reassured him that he would make it through, without any comunication with his mother.

Rhode noticed the girl named Grace staring at her hair, or at least not trying to. Rhode smiled at her and spoke to the girl. “Is something wrong?” Rhode wondered to herself if the girl would answer back to her because she seamed a little shy. Then Rhode noticed that the boy that Grace had come with had slipped and fell on the girls lap. Rhode’s smile grew a little bit wider and she tried to keep from chuckling.

Cody sat upright, moving his head off her shoulder.
He turned to look at Grace who had averted her gaze from the outside scenery to the blue haired girl. “urh…”
Grace looked down at her feet, slightly embarrased that she was caught staring.

Her face flushed ever so lightly pink and she looked up at her, trying not to stare at her hair. “It’s just…” She couldn’t help herself though, and took a quick peek before looking back at her face. “It’s- it’s a nice color” She finally said, before quickly turning her gaze out of the window again.

Cody chuckled and leant back against Grace’s shoulder, facing the wild haired girl. He gave her a cute smile and laughed. “She likes your hair” He said. He himself looked at it for a while, nodding in agreement.
“Must have a lotta friends no?” He said, crossing his arms, fixing himself into a more comfortable position, his back remaining aside Grace’s shoulder as she gazed out the window longingly.

Rhode smiled. “You think so? It’s my natural color. My friend Tiki wanted me to dye it or bleach it because it’s blue but I like it the way it is.” Rhode liked this Grace girl. She was going to be fun to talk to. “Anyways, I don’t really have many friends. It’s just been me and my friend Tiki since we were kids. I never really got to know people because my family moved around a lot to preform. I ran away from home around three years ago. Oh I’m ranting again. I never learn to keep quiet.” Rhode rubbed her left hand on the back of her neck as she spoke. She was going to get along well with these people.

And so it begins. Mathew thought as the other riders began to strike up menial small talk. He hated his closed outlook on the world, often wishing he was more outgoing, but never actually able to make himself that way. He did his best to keep his eyes from meeting any others by tasking himself with the outside world. He couldn’t help but heave a sigh as the conversation changed toward hair.

Once more he scanned over the people present, and again could find no signs of weaponry. Then his mind turned to the individuals themselves, what kind of creature did they change into? What powers did they conceal? Suddenly Mathew realized he was taking interest in the other new recruits around him. What were they thinking? What were their motives? How many of them knew what they were doing or getting into?

Probably none as far as that last question was concerned, Mathew included. For all the things he had dug up on the web, all the things he had read and all the things he had found, “Nature Calls” was something there seemed to only be echoes of, surprising seeing as they seemed to do little to hide their activity, and openly recruited.

Before anyone could reply to the blue haired girl’s, Rhode’s, statement, Mathew looked up, hoping that it was dramatic enough for a first impression. “So tell me,” his voice was calm and cool, but most importantly, knowing, “What does everyone know about Nature Calls?” he asked.

Grace’s face lit up with an ‘i thought so’ expression.
Cody’s eyes widened as he smiled. '‘wow, that’s awesome, heh, I actually have platinum hair, but I had to dye it, my school never believed it was my real hair color, I got in troble all the time’'he said, his face going a subtle shade of pink.

Cody’s then arched his eyebrow at her lonely remark. ‘‘really? How can You not have many friends, you’re lovely person’’ he smiled at hersweetly, closing his eyes, he enjoyed complimenting people, and he tried to get on everyone’s good side as much as he could, first impressions are everything.

Grace kept silent, staring out the carriage window with dreamy eyes, listening quietly to Rhode.
'‘you ran too huh?’'urh, she whispered, more to herself than to Rhode.
She sat up then looked to the blue haired girl, her curiosity telling her to dig deeper.
‘‘so, what does you…family, do? What do they perform?’’

Cody pondered over the question to see Grace’s head suddenly look out of the carraige, away from him. He took a sigh and leant back.
'‘well…It’s…hard to explain…’'urh,
He thought hard for another way to tell without hurting Grace.

‘‘well…you know on…your 13th you can turn into a-a uhh…’’ He turned to Grace, silently asking permission to continue, and even though she wasn’t looking at him, she have a sharp nod.

‘‘well…creatures of all sorts, well, we lost a…a friend because of it, I was about 10 at the time so I knew little about it, recently I had my 13th so I looked it up, about these tranaformations, and after a while of surfing I found out about this place.’’ Cody’s gave a cheerful smile then tilted his head sligtly. ‘‘I guess I joined up to find more about it, and make some new friends, I eventually convinced scaredy cat here to come though’’
He said, elbowing Grace playfully, making her jump, as if she had just broken out of a trance.

Grace continued to stare out the window, what little she knew wasn’t much different from Cody’s knowledge by any means, for she never wanted part of it, but she couldn’t risk loosing Cody’s as well, so she was forced to face her fears and join up for this new guild, hoping for answers that would change nothing but hatred and space.

OOC// Sorry for not replying for awhile D; Got kind of busy.

Iris listened to the conversation between Rhode, Grace, and Cody intently. She hadn’t wanted to speak much more as the conversation was not one she could enter. She then looked around before opening her backpack and taking out one Pocky stick from the box she had. She then looked at all the people and asked in a calm voice, “Do you guys want any?” Iris hadn’t really… enjoyed sharing, but she didn’t want to look selfish in front of new people.

Once Mathew asked his question, Iris had been taken aback. She… hadn’t really known much at all… “Uh,” was all she could stammer before Cody began speaking. She made a slight sigh of relief as he spoke. She hadn’t really listened until the ‘we lost a friend’ part. Her eyes grew wide in shock. Iris hadn’t ever thought of death… especially because of her transforming ability.

“How—,” she cut herself off. Her blunt attitude wasn’t needed, as it would probably be a wrong first impression. Iris then sighed and looked around with a plain expression on her face. She then said weary smile and said, “I know… absolutely nothing. I decided to research transformations, and then I thought, ‘What if… there are guilds?’ I then began to research guilds and I found a ton of information about ‘dark guilds’, ‘normal guilds’, and ‘good guilds’. I knew I didn’t want to join one of those dark guilds, nor a normal guild, so I continued to search good guilds.”

Iris made a slight sigh to herself and continued, “After searching for awhile, I found Nature Echoes listed as a ‘hot & popular’ guild. After that, I knew I was set to joining, so I had sent in my application and, somehow, I was accepted. I hadn’t really researched the guild much more. I have heard rumors that the people in it are really reckless and usually destroy at least something valuable during their missions… I even heard they once destroyed a whole town once. Of course, it was an accident.” She sighed for the final time and giggled slightly.

Ricky, their driver, had announced, “We’ll be arriving to the guild in 10 minutes ~ Remember, relax once we reach the guild. The old man doesn’t like nervous kids.” He chuckled to himself and kept the carriage at the same, slow and steady pace.

Grace and Cody both looked up when they heard Iris talking. Grace shut her eyes and shook her head, while Cody sat back and stretched his legs. “no thanks, i’m good” He said, sliding his hands into his pockets and arching hie neck backwards; staring at the roof of the car.

Grace had heard the short ‘How’ from Iris, but didn’t feel like talking about it. Cody did hear something, but only short, so he ignored, feeling he was once again hearing things or people outside.
His eyes began to wander around the carriage again, still listening to the girl’s voice, but not taking much notice of her words.

10 minutes… He thought to himself. I wonder what this guild is actually like, I just hope tha-OOH.
Cody then sat up quickly, facing the others.
“hey, you know these transformation thingimijigs, can anyone here actually use them yet? I heard this place is supposed to help you learn em, as well as that I heard people even get them naturally, without help”

Cody rubbed the back of his head, his face tinted a slight red. “but of course, I don’t think I can get mine alone, I don’t even know where to start…wonder what it’s like”

Zach sighed as he got everything ready. he looked out the window and saw the vehicle hasnt arrived yet,…thankfully.

he walked out of his house, said goodbye and waited for the vehicle.

once it finaly arrived it was a white limo. he had a faint smile to the driver as he opened the door and got in.

“…hi…” zach said to the 2 other people in the car.
