The Hunger Games Pokemon version (SIGN UP)

Accepted.

Katniss.

I just started reading the Hunger Games and so far it is amazing… So sorry if I do not catch up as quickly with the rest - I am still on the first book. Almost on the second, though. :D

Name: Lyved
Age: 18
Gender: M
Pokemon: Vigoroth
Appearance:

His physical body is that of a normal Vigoroth - there is no signs of broken bones or damage whatsoever.
His eyes, due to constant work on the farm, appear to have gray rimming around them. Other than the rings around his eyes, his brown facial markings forms the typical Vigoroth ‘mask’, however the outer edges of these markings, as well as any other of them on his body, is surrounded by speckles. This is commonly mistaken for an illness. Lyved’s hair tuft on his head is a duller hue than the average Vigoroth, most likely due to the dirt and dust it gathers from working on the fields. Surprisingly enough, however, Lyved’s teeth are in almost-perfect condition. His claws are ridden with dirt and muck from the animals and crops on the fields, both paws and feet. His paw pads are, much like his hair tuft, a duller hue as a result of diligent work on the fields. As for muscles and health, Lyved remains in great condition.

Abilities and skills:
-Experienced with melee.
-Years raising crops, as well as livestock gives him an advantage with animals and plants around his district.
-The fact that Lyved is a Vigoroth can be an advantage and disadvantage in the Games. He has a heartbeat ten times faster than that of a human, or any other Pokemon. Like any other Vigoroth, he cannot remain still, or he would collapse. Lyved however, learned to keep close to still - shake. If he ever happens to lose his temper, Lyved would fall victim to Vigoroth rage.
-Vital Spirit. In the Pokemon world, this makes Lyved immune to sleep. However, as I looked at things realistically, Lyved’s ability would be quite unfair, as everyone’s body needs rest at some point!

Personality:
He is usually known around his district for being quiet and calm - the complete opposite of what a Vigoroth should be. There of course, has been cases of Lyved losing his cool and throwing a tantrum (sometimes destroying crops in the process!). In a nutshell, he has temper issues.

District: 10.

Job at district:
Lyved takes care of both the crops and livestock (or what they used to have as a result of cold winters and selling).

History:
Lyved was born under the love and care of his mother, Ueto, as well as his many brothers and sisters. His father was too busy at the ranch and fields to actually attend his own son’s birth. Being one of the youngest in the family, during his years as a Slakoth, Lyved had a surprising amount of energy in him. The family took his stamina to their advantage, making Lyved work on the ranch at the age of 6. He would still be occasionally found sleeping on the job, but unlike his other little siblings, he actually got work done.

As the family members got older, things got busier. As Slakoths grew into feisty Vigoroths, their bellies grew more demanding. Both mother and father could not keep up with their children’s’ appetites, and gradually, the food supplies could not keep up with anyone.

Lyved was an exception to his rowdy younger siblings. At the age of 10 he had grown into a Vigoroth, and continued doing the job that was assigned to him by his father. He remained outside, working on the crops and livestock, only coming back inside when actually needed. This continued for years until finally he became the age of 18. The younger children took his place, however, their work on the fields were horrible compared to the father’s and Lyved’s. As a result, Lyved remained in the ranch.

Of course, it was not all fine and dandy, especially during winter months. Crops began to wither off during the winter, and the livestock were becoming older and more lazy. They did not produce as much as they would consume, so as a result, some were put down. This was a painful task to do for Lyven, as he grew up with these animals, however animals were animals, and food was food. What was left of crops was sold on the market, and whatever that wasn’t sold for a few coins was dinner for the family.

After a heartbreaking death of the family’s youngest daughter, it was decided that all of the livestock must go. All that was left of the now barren ranch was the animals’ troughs and droppings. The farm was almost lifeless, as most of the crops die off during winter.

Due to the family’s unusual luck, never having a child taken away as tribute, some months Lyven would sign up for tessarae. To be exact, he had signed up four times for tesserae. Of course, in case of ever being accepted- and surprise, he was - Lyved prepared himself in secret, training in close combat, using his claws to his advantage in different cases, should the Hunger Games have them.

Victor?: N
Tesserae: Y
If so, how many: 4

Uhhh… that’s it, sorry for the big history thing. I tried my best and stuff.

More detailed it is, more we understand you.

I’m not sure if I should post this here or not but I thought it might be useful for some people.

I’m going to explain some thigs about how the Hunger Games work. (By this I mean the games themselves, no the books.)

The Reaping
The reaping takes place every year and everybody in the district is required to be present during these ceremonies.
All the children aged 12-18 stand in two groups (Male and Female) while everybody else gathers around and watches. A represetitive from the Capitol stands on a stage and draws the names of the male and female tributes out of a jar or some sort of container. The female tribute is always called first. If your name is drawn, you must walk up to the stage and wait. The Capitol representitive then asks for volunteers. (There tend to be a lot of volunteers from districts such as 1, 2 and 4. These volunteers are collectively named “Career Tributes” because, although it’s not permitted, they tend to have been training for the Hunger Games tehir whole lives.)
Once everyone has volunteered (or more often not volunteered) the two tributes shake hands and then say goodbye to their families. They then take a train to the Capitol, along with their mentor or mentors and the representitive from the Capitol.

Stylists and Training
Once you arrive in the Capitol you meet your Prep team and stylist. Your stylist prepares you and dresses you for the chariot ride. The chariot ride takes all the tributes in a circle to show off their costumes. They then all head into the Training Center. The tributes head up to their rooms and prepare for the first day of training.
In the open training sessions, all of the tributes train at the different stations (these stations consist of Combat and Survival skills) while the Game Makers look on. Next comes the private training session, in this session you have 15 minutes to display your very best skills in front of the Game Makers. The Game Makers then give you a score out of twelve. this is later displayed on the television for everybody to see. The last part of training before the games themselves is the live interveiw. This is your last chance to impress the sponsers. (these are the people who are able to buy you gifts while you are in the arena.)

The Games
Before the games you will sit in a room under the stadium with your stylist while you wait to be called. There is a sound when they’re ready for you and you step into the elevator. This takes you up into the arena. In the arena, all the contestents are gathered around the Cornucopia. There are usually supplies or weapons gathered around the Cornucopia and you have a choice to try and obtain some or just run off and hope to survive on your skills alone. Before you set off, you have one minute to take in your surroundings, and if you step off your… Err… I’m not sure what they called it… But if you step off it, they have landmines set up which will instantly blow your legs off. A sound will signal when it’s time to begin the Hunger Games. The fight for the items around the Cornucopia is often the cause of a alot of deaths. This is called the “Initial Bloodbath” or just “Bloodbath”.
Let the games begin.

Wise, if you want to put this somewhere different, feel free to just copy and paste it. Also feel free to correct any spelling/grammar/information mistakes I have made.

Thanks for reading ^^

Thank you for the guide, Sniffy. It is extremely helpful. o: And I have a question… Whenever the role play takes place, where will we be? At the Games already or just getting called up? (Yeah, sorry if somebody else has already asked this. x_x)

Ok, so me and Coffee decided that we’ll be hosting this RP and we’ll decide on the area owo
For now, we decided to make an application that ONLY Coffee and Wisewizard41 may use for NPC sign ups; aka head gamemakers etc.

Okay, so this clears up some of the questions I had. Thanks for adding this, Wise.

No problem. I just recognized we didn’t have sign ups for NPCs, so I added it.

So, sorry for spamming this thread, but will I have to wait for the district 10 NPCs or no? o_o

Nope, just go as you please. We’ll be making the ones that aren’t shown yet, and once you make yours we’ll add them once you explain who they are.
