A issue with the story of the newest released dungeons

There has been something that bothered me about the newest released dungeons that i been noticing and wished to speak about

and that is the bosses getting a second wind after being defeated,
both in the remake of thunderstorm forest and mistspring woods after the boss is defeated they’ll proceed to scoff at you before saying they are ready for round2 and then promptly get shut down by someone else before another fight can start,
this is a serious story telling issue because it undermines the player’s impact on the story.
thunderstorm forest is a great offender of this due to the fact the player can be completely written off and the story would be the exact same;
there’s a fight between manetrics and luxrays, the manetric leader goes to confront the luxray leader, they fight and then zapdos comes in and tells them to stop fighting,
the player does absolutely nothing in any of it, he dosen’t even start a conflict like he does in the mistpring woods where you can say the player is neccessary to have celebii show up, in this one, the fight happens regardless of the player presence, and even then you don’t even defeat the luxray boss, you punch him in the face and he calls for back up and then zapdos has to bail you out of being beaten up by luxray’s army,
and despite of all of this, zapdos proceeds to shower you with compliments and gifts, praising you for helping solve the issue. :eeveesad:

there’s clear disonance between gameplay and story,
you can beat a boss in a single hit and they’ll talk like your nothing to them.
i can assume this was done to make the boss feel more threatening, but it really dosen’t. it only works to belittle the player importance in the story,

taking raikou of voltaic rainforest, when defeated he rightfully acknowledges he’s been defeated and cannot stop you, but that does not make him seem any weaker, afterall considering the forest is still there despite lumberjacks being such a costant issues that he assumes everyone is one, must mean that he has beaten plenty off if there is still a forest and people living in it.

the player should be the biggest influncial point in the story that much is obvious and while the zapdos does like to say you are. that does not ring as true when your not shown achive anything at all.

and this isn’t a unfixable thing right? there’s fairly simple solutions to both of those stories,
don’t give the boss a second wind;

when luxray is defeated have him yell that you may have beaten him but he’ll be back, because the forest is rightfully is and you haven’t seen the last of him or some other clicè stuff. before zapdos shows up to tell em to chill out,
that works, it shows you helped by stopping him and still makes him feel threatening and show it’s adamant and refusal to give up,
and also still makes zapdos still real important because the issue would have poped up again if he wasen’t there!

in mistspring forest you can have the zoroark say some heroic stuff like “you may have beaten me but you’ll never get your way villan” and then have celebii show up to defuse the situetion scold the zoroark for attacking people at random and maybe even apologize to the player for not arriving sooner and save you the fight,

as it currently stands i feel like these two stories are my least favorite in all of pmu and i feel they are not just a detriment to thier own dungeon but the whole pmu, as they actively work to weaken the player rather then impower them, and leave the player with a sour taste in thier mouth
