Sleep can be easily removed with the use of an attack. I wish this were not the case, that it uses a timer instead, and that only Sleep Talk (if its in the game) should allow the opponent to attack. My Facade Krickitune won’t work without it.
Sleep Talk is broken at the moment. Also, if Sleep didn’t get awaken by normal attack, then how would they awaken? Your suggestion is a bit too vague with a poor argument of “Facade Krickitune”. Honestly, self-inflicting status isn’t very useful in dungeons, since sleep would lock you into one tile that would kill if surrounded by Pokémon. Disagree. :/
There are several reasons why this won’t happen:
- -Changing this to a timer would be no more different. In the real games you can wake up while using Sleep Talk, and it fails.
- -PMU also is an MMO which on occasions will experience tremendous amounts of lag, a timer would make sleeping a huge disadvantage being it could potentially lag farther behind than an a turn based attack system.
- -Rest guarantees 4 attacks of rest unless you have the ability Early Bird
- -You must consider that sleep is also a cosmetic thing in town. People use Rest in town a lot. A timer on this would rid this.
Also as a final note. Facade does not work with the Sleep status

You should realize that sleep is broken even with a low turn timer, like 1. It outright stops whatever you were doing and makes you waste a turn, which can be dangerous. Also, several causes make sleep last longer than 1 turn (it’s on a per-cause basis), like Rest, Herbal Tea’s Yawn status, Slumber Trap (which makes it last for 8 turns) and so on. If sleep had to be balanced, it would be a nerf, not a buff.
