Change the chat box color

Okay, so this is a fairly simple request. In PMU the chat box is always navy blue. Unfortunately, there is no way to change it to match the skin as far as I know.

I haven’t seen any means of changing it. At least not within the basic skin folders. I thought it’d be nice if there was a way of changing it to match your skin.
For example, making a new folder in the skin’s directory called “chatbox” and having the gui.png for the background be in there.

I’m sure since it couldn’t be customized in the first place, there is a good reason as to why this can’t be done, but I figured I might as well ask.

Check: Main Theme (or any skin file) -> Game Window -> Widgets -> textbox.png

Should be the answer to your problem. :P

I agree! I haven’t been able to change it myself. Sadly, it may require coding to be changed.

The .textbox.png is just for the chat bar if I remember correctly. If you find a way to change it, let me know :D
