The original was so much better…
MUCH better voice actors for the original cast, longer (roughly min 40 hours vs max 40 hours in the sequel) and much deeper storyline as well as greater music and gameplay.

Who? Tos haters? I suppose some people don’t like JRPGs…
Anyway, here is what i think regarding ToS and ToSDotNW, this is all IMO.

more animated skits and voiceovers for them
Each character has a Mystic Arte (not all of them did in the (gamecube) first game)

Old characters can are only playable at certain points and auto-level (same levels, even in mania mode)
1st player can only be Emil or Marta

I dont like all of the new voice actors for the old characters (Genis sound almoast female to me in the second game)

I could be wrong with some of these things, considering I don’t own ToS2 but I have played on it at a friend’s house, I have the origional ToS though.
Sapph? have you played the origional game before?
All in all, they are both good games :D
