Concept
The comic is set during modern times in a world much like our own. Dragons and humans once lived alongside each other. There were occasional dragon-only or human-only settlements but they kept to themselves and didn’t interfere with others. The story is about what happens when a viscous monster almost destroys the entire world, and the chaos that follows.

Magic
Magic is like swimming. Not everyone can do it, but almost everyone can learn. One cannot teach another how to learn and use magic by explaining or demonstrating, but they can share their techniques and how they managed to do it. The only way to learn magic is to try it yourself, but like swimming, one cannot be expected to learn it straight away.
Magic is separated into three levels. Primary elements, which are: Fire, Earth, Water and Air.
Secondary elements: Lightning, Metal, Nature and Ice.
Tertiary elements: Light, Shadow and Neutral.
The Primary and Secondary elements are collectively known as elemental magic, and normally consist of offensive and defensive spells. Elemental magic normally gives the dragon some kind of control or manipulation over their element.
The following are some examples of what can be done within those particular elements:
• Fire dragons can breathe fire or cover themselves in it without much or any harm to their own body.
• Water dragons can create waves or pillars of water.
• Earth dragons can create earthquakes or hurl large boulders with ease.
• Air dragons can create tornadoes or strong gusts of wind.
• Lightning dragons can summon lightning bolts or discharge electricity from their own bodies without harming themselves.
• Ice dragons can freeze things with their breath or touch.
• Nature dragons can force plants to grow or influence their behavior.
• Metal dragons can create shields, blades etc… out of metal.
While Light, Neutral and Shadow are also counted as magical elements, they are not natural elements and therefore not included in the wheel. These elements are very hard to learn and even harder to master.
• Light magic includes light variations of elemental magic, for example, white fire.
However, Light magic is more commonly used as healing magic or spells to strengthen allies.
• Shadow magic includes dark variations of elemental magic, for example, black fire. However, Shadow magic is more commonly used to weaken or impair others.
• Neutral magic is similar to an illusion of elemental magic. It resembles elemental magic in appearance (water spouts, lightning bolts etc…), but deals no elemental damage. This is normally a substitute of magic for those who cannot learn elemental magic. Those with this element don’t always have skills in magic.
As explained earlier, elements are separated into three levels. While dragons and half-dragons can learn one primary element, at the removal of their birth seal they will be free to learn more elements. If they learn a primary element that is next to theirs in the element wheel, they will learn the secondary element relative to the two primary elements they now learn.
• To learn Lightning magic, one must have skills in the Air and Fire elements.
• To learn Metal magic, one must have skills in the Fire and Earth elements.
• To learn Nature magic, one must have skills in the Earth magic and Water magic.
• To learn Ice magic, one must have skills in the Water and Air element.
Even though all magic is powerful, some are more effective against others. For example:
• Fire magic deals more damage to Air dragons, but is weak to Earth magic.
• Air magic deals more damage to Water dragons, but is weak to Fire magic.
• Water magic deals more damage to Earth dragons, but is weak to Air dragons.
• Earth dragons deal more damage to Fire dragons, but is weak to Water magic.
• I NEED TIME AND/OR HELP WITH WORKING THESE THINGS OUT. WILL BE UPDATED.
[spoilerSo far it works like this, but I need to re-evaluate it and make it work better.:2smnyzpi]
