Escape Option.

Hello its Foxy1.
i wanna make a small suggestion,

you know when your in those dungeons, a pokemon faints, you either rev, or switch it out.
well what if this happens:

  1. when switching you dont flash and pokemon start to attack you, and kill you.
    or
  2. you use a rev item and as soon as you get rev’d you get killed. waste of a perfectly good rev there :>

heres my idea.

you know how you got revs inside your bag and the rev option pops up along with give up or switch?

well what if you have a escape orb, and your dead but it cant be the main dead or this wont even pop up.

lets say you die, and you got your main, whose alive and healthy, but dont wanna risk it going dead also.
and it so happens you have escape orbs! :!!:
so upon clicking that option you activate it and escape.

any questions or comments? feedback is always good.

I’m pretty sure an Escape Rope does exactly what you just said.

Its actually a pretty good idea if you are in a monster house and you simply have no chances of surviving so i like this idea…
I really think this should be implemented! :D

i know but escape ropes are mostly found in TC. newbies wouldnt be able to have them.

i wasnt aware that escape rope did that o.o

Personally, this has happened to me.
But, since escape ropes are a pain to even bother getting in TC (They were also in summer hc boxes) I had kept using revs rather than wasting 1/3 escape ropes I have left.
So, I support this idea. Maybe escape ropes in kecleon? If, not oh well.

Sigh These suggestions…

This will only make the game easier, which isn’t fun… at all…
You can’t rush into a dungeon. Preparations must be made before entering a dungeon.
-Like putting your escape goat in the front of the part. So if all three of your Pokemon are knocked out, you can warp out.
-Revivers are easy to get, so no, it’s not a waste.

You cannot expect staff to make up for others’ carelessness!

You have a point here. I didnt think of it like that.

How is having a very hard game good?
This game should be more and more kids friendly…(since it includes pokemon)
I find it even harder than the PMD and even the normal Pokemon games…
The change of the experience system dramatically made the game a lot harder so i see a lot more low levels then there used to be…
Staff should at least give something to motivate players to train again.
Even tho this suggestion wont…but i find it pretty good.

What’s the challange in an easy game? If a game is hard, it can test you whether you know how to play or not. Besides, if you can escape at will, that would make the ‘challange’ part of the game a piece of cake. Remember there’s an item called an ‘Escape Rope’

Escape ropes are pretty much only found in TC. There’s many people who are too low of a level to even TRY to go into TC and survive for a decent amount of time. I think that there could be a new escape item, like an Escape Shard or something that lets you do the same thing as an Escape Rope, but is very rare to find, but it’ll appear in some of the more lower level dungeons. And for those who’ll complain about the game being too easy:
IT. WON’T.
Sure, you can escape if you have the said fictional item, which will be referred to as an Escape Shard for now, but that doesn’t mean it makes the game itself too easy. It makes it less frustrating, we all know how PMU glitches up, especially if you don’t have a top notch computer. Not to mention that training is now just a bunch of grinding. There’s nothing fun to train for anymore, especially if all your pokemon have evolved. And I’ll say this again: Who wants a super hard game as a challenge? Yes, I like challenging games, but when a game is just frustratingly challenging with grinding all the time, it wouldn’t hurt to make it a little more easier.
I think this is a excellent idea and that the staff should implement this.

^ Yes.

I’m sorry, but I do not think that this should be implemented. And here are my reasons for it.

  1. It will make the gameplay too easy, if you die, and still have another pokemon to go, and have an escape orb, switch and escape with the Escape Orb.
  2. We already have Escape Ropes, which yes, can be found in TC but they were also in Summer Holiday Cave.
  3. This would be easy to keep items, in which if you die in a dungeon due to lag or just general underlevelness, then I"m sorry, but you shouldn"t have faced it. Lag is also bad now a days, so make sure you"re always carrying revs, and always carrying an escape rope.
So yeah, I’m sorry but, /disagree/

I can agree with this, i almost lost an wonder chest this way. so the option to use escape orbs on death, when its not your leader would be great help.

You say this, though it’s far from true. PMU is generally an easy game, IF you plan, which is what PMD is all about.

I agree partially with this. I like the idea of a new item. Maybe have it be invisible?

Or stick it in a wall so that only ghost-types could get to it. One of those are great ideas. The only problem I see with it though, is what it’ll look like. It could be confused for a Red/Blue/RainbowUnicorn Shard. Maybe someone can make the overworld design for it.

Another problem I see is the sprite, there’s no “Escape Shard” sprite. The staff could use the original shard sprites for it, yet they may have a use for them in the future.

…And this could be sorted out by simply just putting the Escape Rope there instead of a whole new item that does exactly the same?

Wait wait wait. How is PMU an “easy game”???
Of course it used to be and you simply got to level 100 since you are one of the older players, but pmu kept get nerfing till now when its a lot hard.
Its easy when you have a level 100 to sprint through a dungeon with a stamina band, which is impossible to die.
And please dont go like “i trained many level 1s like a day ago”.Its still easy for you when you can just go to a dungeon like snowveil and hit a pokemon till it gets like 1 hip and just switch, thats why its so easy to train other pokemon after you have a level 100.
And actually i dont know why im complaining about pmu getting easier, playing this game for 2 or 1.5 years with a 5 month break, thus still havent got to level 100. Yeah i know i was dumb cause i didnt train when pmu was so easy back then but there are players who just joined and you cant even imagine how hard it is to start a new character now.

And about the PMD i was saying that PMU should be pretty much easier than PMD since it IS a fan made game thus its online and it actually is much harder.

PMU is very easy. And please, you don’t know what you’re talking about. I don’t know anyone that uses a 100, and gets Pokemon down to 1 HP, then switches. An Exp.all does a much better job. You’re making assumptions. I’m not level 100, and I still find PMU to be very easy. And also, PMU is a lot easier, now, with TC and Snowveil. I can train much easier than I used to be able to. PMU is extremely easy, even for new people. None of what you’ve said is true. Your point is invalid.

Yes. PMU is an easy game. Look at how many Level 100s and high leveled players there are. No dungeon is a challenge, and Training gets boring. I assume you’re not having any difficulty with the game?

Is another Escape Option really necessary? You have Escape Ropes, which do the same thing as aforementioned. They’re hard to obtain for a good reason. If Escape Ropes, or if a similar effect were to be the default, there would be no need for them, and there would be really no downsides to fainting in a dungeon.

We all hate the moment where the party leader faints, and our items get discarded, but hey: It’s just a part of the game.

It’s the consequence for fainting, and it makes you be more wary of how you’ll be playing in the future. If you’re stuck or whatnot, call a staff, or better yet, be more prepared.
