Falling Asleep

Well you know how you are afk and just stand there and stand there
maybe if you’re AFK for about 15-20 minutes you fall asleep without having to put TM rest on you.
it would be really cool, this is just another fun suggestion i guess…

That’s a nice idea :)
My Pikachu gets tired, doesn’t sleep when I’m gone for a while…

This makes it more realistic right?

I pretty much like the idea of falling asleep if your afk…
It was around my mind for some time but i never had the time to suggest it
Agree

That way you know the person has been away a while and might not be back for a while longer if it is 15/20 minutes. Also as said before it would be more realistic instead of just standing around.
I wholeheartedly agree!

I sort of agree with this but why not make a /sleep command? You can just do it like /sleep 10 for asleep in 10 minutes.

This defeats the purpose to find Rests… Rest is in a dungeon for Mid to High-Novice players. It shouldn’t be accessible by any lower. It actually irritates me that people want a way to “Cheat the system.” Winden Pass is far from difficult, if you are the proper level. Missions have Rest like crazy… There is no need with this.

I think this is a nice suggestion. I really enjoy the idea of a /sleep command too.

I disagree of how it defeats the purpose of rest.
Obviously we’re not asking for it to give the effect of rest, only it’s animation.

It doesn’t defeat the purpose. i should have also mentioned it doesn’t give the effects of Rest and is just a fun suggestion. and how is it “Cheating the system”? if Rest doesn’t give the effects then it simply doesn’t “Cheat the system”.

It would be a good idea for an AFK system, First the pokemon gets the sleeping sprite, but with the open eyes and then he closes it and falls asleep?
I 50% agree, Because finding rest is a total challenge also~

This is a pretty good idea, except, when you fall asleep, it would just show the sprite, it wouldn’t actually put you to sleep.
Or it could show the /… emote…

Not everyone wants to occupy a move space for cosmetic value as rest is outclassed by other moves healing wise which don’t make you sleep and vulnerable to damage.
It’s why I deleted rest from all of my Pokémon since I can sleep in town via a command which is staff only due to reasons, I never use it in dungeons.
I do like the idea of a command to show the sleep sprite with out the slp status and such command cannot be used in dungeons.

Yeah. It only shows the sprite, nothing else. No effects, no anything. And I use herbal tea to go to sleep. I used to have Rest on my Pokemon, though. As what said, it could be like this:
/sleep (Time here)

/sleep 10min
/sleep 20min
/sleep 30min
etc.

EDIT: Also, it should only be available to people who have ranks silver and up.

True, since that would encourage doing missions and getting points.

The point about /sleep is that the user would have to input something to do it. What if the user was not expecting to have to go AFK?

It’s common sense for a game to respond to AFK players - if the user has to input something, they might as well just be using TM Rest. /sleep seems kind of abitrary, while a timed, auto-AFKr seems sensible.

i think a command that presents a pokemon’s sleeping sprite without any of the affect of rest is a perfectly fine idea. 0w0 infact i’d sorta love it myself.
