Alright~ So, everyone has that one part of a game that makes them bawl like a baby.
Whether it be from a character death, a reunion, the story line, or just the music!
So what’s your’s? Give me the scenario and game~!
Mine was Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky
It just broke my heart, the whole message of the game, at the end when you come back, and the fact you sacrificed yourself for everyone else, it was so moving I couldn’t stop crying, and the music didn’t help~</3
And in Trauma Team, when Dr.Cunningham thought he was a bad doctor and he thought he couldn’t make his patient’s happy, so his assistant Roni says “All people die, so medicine is ultimately pointless, but Doctor…I have observed patients leaving with smiles, is helping people smile pointless as well?”
Also, in Professor Layton and The Unwound Future…When Claire revels her true identity and then fades away, and Prof. Layton started crying and he took off his top hat! And, when Luke leaves at the end, and starts crying and he says to Prof. Layton,“I’m sorry, i’m not a gentleman yet!”
Also, in Professor Layton and The Curious Village, when Flora decides to go with Luke and the Professor, and whispers,“Goodbye then, little village…”
spoilers. spoilers everywhere. If you plan on playing / currently playing the following games, avoid looking at this post: Hatoful Boyfriend, Persona 4, Okami, and Mother 3
Hatoful Boyfriend - Nageki’s and Shuu’s endings.
Nageki’s story pulled my heart strings. hard. He disappears while confessing his love to you because he’s a ghost ; _ ; That kind of thing just kills my heart. Shuu’s story really made me cry mostly because it was scary. He died along with the main character, that tugged my heartstrings too. >:
Persona 4 - Bad ending.
On my first playthrough, I got the bad ending. This just killed my poor heart. In the bad ending, Nanako actually dies, Teddie leaves and disappears forever, and you never find the true criminal. oh, and everyone in Inaba probably dies due to the fog.
Okami
This ending made me cry in a more angry way than a sad way. |: I had the most trouble on Yami ever. It took me over 2 hours to beat him, mostly because I kept dying >_> I hate Yami, he’s the worst ever and ughh.
Mother 3
This ending made me cry in a sad way and an angry way. ; _ ; I was angry because I didn’t realize I wasn’t supposed to take the Masked Man fight seriously and I was all “ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK, FORGET HEALING, RAAAR”. It was sad, because of the cutscenes and the fact that the masked man was your own brother. After the battle, I just really don’t know what happened. I got really confused, so. |:
Persona 4, March 20 2012
Just going around, talking to everyone you have maxed social links, it’s heartwarming, the music, “SMILE” helps with the mood too… :’)
Phoenix Wright: Turnabout sisters.
When you find out that Mia is the victim, I literally just bawled. I came to like her so much during the first case, and I was just horrified when she died.
Phoenix Wright: Farewell, my Turnabout
When Maya leaves to go the hills, because she thought she was useless, I started crying, Maya was my favorite Character in the whole series…
Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, the ending, when Shadow dies. I just wanted to cry. So sad. I just have one thing to say: WHY SHADOW?! WHY DID YOU HAVE TO DIE?!
And Kirby 64, the Crystal Shards, the Zero-2 battle. It’s a beautiful piece of music. A certain part just made me want to shed a tear. The music, I mean.
PMD 1&2, the endings to both of the games made me want to bawl like a baby version of Ash’s Torkoal(yeah, I went there).
Megaman Zero 2&4, the ending to both of the games just made me want to cry. In Zero 2’s ending, Commander Elpizo turns into a Cyber-elf, and flies away. Both the ending itself and the music that plays during it just made me want to cry. In Zero 4’s ending, Zero destroys Dr. Weil, but at a cost. His life. So, so, sad.
Mother 3 made me cry before i actually played the game. That ending is just something else… And then I played threw it and got to the end…and cried even harder since i understood everything.
I also cried at the end of PMD Darkness/Time/Sky. I got really attached to that game and the characters wherein, so i was so sad when the ending sequence happened.
And lastly, the ending of Mario Party 3 made me cry as a kid. I’m still not sure why; must be the music that plays.
(And a related note, Pokemon Puzzle League also made me cry as a kid, but not because it was sad. More like because i was so frustrated by being beat by Lorelei for the hundredth time xD)
Battlefield 3:
After seeing the wide battlefield, the landscape, all the freedom to go anywhere and get any vehicle as you want… that’s all I wanted from a game, so, some tears escaped…
The only games I’ve cried at are both PMD games. Both when the main character “goes”. There are probably some other games I would cry at but I haven’t played any others yet.
Professor Layton and the Unwound Future.
That scene at the end when Celeste (really Claire) leaves, then it starts snowing, I was crying there.
Then when Luke left, I was bawling.
