Well Am not sure if its the right place or no , Still new to forums.
So i was Using Gliscor (Ground-Flying type) in “thunderstorm forest” . I got paralyzed many times by Elektrike Static Ability . Not sure if this is possible to happen or no . Anyway i Continued and used rest & then “Elekid” used On me “Thunder Shock” and i got paralyzed … Now i Think This should not happen ??
Since am ground type i should not get paralyzed or maybe am wrong and its different in Pokemon Mystery dungeon games ?
So can someone explain to me How it works ?
Cause when i use steel type , i Dont get poisoned as in real games so why ground type get paralyzed ?? … Also Sometimes my Leafeon Gets Paralyzed during Sunny Weather tho it has “Leaf guard” Ability.
Thanks in return

The Ground type, however, should be immune to any Electric type moves. Any other method of paralyzation (the ability Static which is very common in Thunderstorm Forest, Stun Spore, etc) will paralyze the Pokemon.
So…
Static will paralyze your Gliscor, but Thundershock should not.
I honestly don’t know about Leaf Guard in Sunny weather, though. It should be immune to status effects unless it happens to work differently in PMU…

The ground type can still get hit by Electric type moves, in PMU, they just happen to be “not very effective” and does little damage. I believe this mechanic is the same in PMD games, though.
