I made a signature with Paint.Net

So, I just downloaded Paint.Net last night, and I was just messing around with some stuff. So I happened to make this, and I was happy with it being my signature. Your thoughts?

Nice

My rating for this meal banner is a 9/10+1/10

It looks nice, especially for a first try!
If you want any advice with Paint.NET feel free to ask me.~

Ooh, okay! Erm, I don’t know what to ask. .-. Uh, can I see some of your examples made by Paint.Net?

Thank you!

I moved onto Photoshop about 4 months ago, but these are my latest examples from when I used Paint,NET.~

I usually don"t make them that large anymore, but feel free to ask me for advice if you want to.~

O: How did you make them type of backgrounds? I’d love to be able to use something like that.

Hmmm. Since you"re using Paint.NET, you don"t have access to brushes.
So, the next best option is C4Ds.

C4Ds are easy to use once you get the hang of them!
Simply type C4D or C4D Render into Google Images, and find some that you see best.

Once you"ve done that, make a signature and get a light color and dark color.
(Preferably of the same colour, i.e Light Blue and Dark Blue.)
Then use the Gradient Tool (In your Toolbox Window!) and select Radial in the top left.

Click and drag outwards on your canvas to make a sort of lens flare effect.
After that, choose your Pokemon for the signature, and paste it above the “Lens Flare” on a new layer.

Now, you can start with C4Ds!

Choose your first C4D, and paste it onto a new layer between the Pokemon and the background.
Now go to Adjustments > Hue & Saturation, and then make the Saturation of the C4D layer 0.
This should make the C4D Black/White/Gray, which is what we want.
Click okay and set the C4D layer to Overlay in layer properties.

Rinse and repeat until you feel the background looks okay.
It may not look good when you start out, but as you practice it"ll be easier!

Here"s a step-to-step example I made a while ago:

I made this with your help! Not sure if it’s good, though…

Personally, I like it a little. Thanks a lot by the way. P: (P.S, the border is at the top, just hard to see. Going to pick anoter C4D next time without so many black. xD)
Um, so what do you think?

It"s nice for a first attempt!
Try playing around with the lightness levels if you have issues with black, and even the transparency if you want.

If you mess around with the transparency you can use alot of C4Ds.~

Sorry about the double post…! But I’m using this C4D, and it does have white in it, is there any way to get rid of it?

Hmmm.
I"m not familiar with a way of doing that with Paint.NET alone.
Perhaps lower the lightness in Hue & Saturation to diminish the white?

Hmm… pretty pleased with this one, to be honest. Looks nice in my opinion. What do you think? o:

Not sure if I used that border correctly. xD

V2

Better border

Finished version!

You"re getting there.~
With more practice you"ll get better.

I like the 3rd border the most. o:

I’ll keep trying, then!
