GARDENING:
This is simply an idea and is not to be taken seriously, hence the reason why it is in the suggestions thread and not an actually update. Anyways, I was playing on the Pokemon Dream World thing today and I realized that Pokemon Mystery Universe would be a bit more convenient if players were actually able to garden and such.
Information:
Players would be able to purchase their own gardening center (maximum of one plot for now?) for the price of 3500 poke. They can learn more from a new NPC at the Housing Center, who will be more than happy to assist players. Once you get the poke for a plot of land, the Gardening NPC will lead you through a basic tutorial, teaching you what you need to know to become a proficient gardener in no time. At the end of the tutorial, you are given beginner plants (Oran and Leppa plants), as well as your own Watering Can.
Gardening on P.M.U will be fairly similar to planting berry trees in the real Pokemon games, however there are some obvious differences. For one, you are a Pokemon and not a human Pokemon trainer. With that being said, Pokemon with certain attributes can harm or quicken the growth of plants. For example, a poison type Pokemon can harm the growth of your plants. This can replace the need for mulch, or if anything, the mulch can replace the Pokemon attribute idea I had.
Issues:
I can already see a bunch of issues with this suggestion, and readers are free to add onto the list, as this is simply just a suggestion…
-The project would be pretty time-consuming for the programmers.
-Players would abuse the gardening feature.
-Rare berries would lose their value. (Perhaps the rarer berries should have a longer growth rate?)
-(In response to having wild pokemon in the gardens, quoted Enra) “Nor should there be wild Pokemon attracted to your garden. (Attack on sight or not.) Due to overkill on the programmers behalf, they’ll have a tough job with this feature as it is, to add something like this on top will most likely make the idea unwanted to the Programmers/Developers.”
Screenshots:
Like I said, this is simply a suggestion and not actually implemented in the game. So please do not take these screenshots too seriously, okay?
This is what the Gardening option would look like in the Menu. This option is disabled in dungeons, counting holiday cave events.
You receive this message when you try to enter a Garden that you obviously haven’t purchased. Like the message states, you can buy a plot for gardening at the Housing Center.
Suggestions:
The following are good ideas concerning the garden, created from others. :D Don"t worry, I"ll be sure to give you credit where needed!
-Suggestion by im a person: The NPC should be either a Ledyba or a Roserade.
-Suggestion by HappyKirby: Attract pokemon with different scents and foods from the garden.; Grow Berries and other things in the garden.
-Suggestion by Luraila: “Oh, oh! So if we can edit our garden, how about an indoor one?”
