Layout and Tutorials/Guides/Wiki

Hey guys! I joined the other day and needless to say, I am no-lifing it up and having a great time!
However, I do have a few suggestions that I as a player (any age) and I as a new player specifically would personally like to see added within the game or the game information.

In-Game Suggestion
So one of my things is when I am in a dungeon fighting, and I decide I want to use an item perhaps that will cure my frozen, poison, sleep status or perhaps I want to use a damaging item to damage the Pokemon I’m fighting in the dungeon! Well I personally (perhaps you older players are more in tune with this, but please note not everybody is) fiddle and eventually decide not to use those oh so helpful items because of the time it takes me to open my bag, find the item. By then I’ve taken a good bit of damage especially since when I want to use those items, it’s during a fight where there are multiple enemies! And man I take so much damage! My suggestion would make it a whole lot easier on myself and every player in the game, to be honest! So here is my suggestion.

  • On the layout of PMU, have another area where you can place ‘favorited’ items as keybinds as F1-F8. Have the keybind bar visible, and perhaps hideable (to minimize layout clutter) with the press of a button! Or make it nice and small, tuck away next to where our Atk/Def/etc is shown, since there is a large empty space there.

Allow players to set keybinds to items while also having the bar show how many of that item are avilable for their use (so they can keep an eye on how many apples they are carrying for example).

This will allow players to very easily use their Apples, Blast Seeds, Oran Berries, among other super useful items! Unless, of course, your goal was to make the whole going to the inventory thing a challenege. Or maybe there is already a keybind system I’m totally unaware of hehe.

Guides/Wiki/Etc Suggestions
I as a new player have found things pretty confusing as far as training goes. Sure, there are certainly guides in the guide area that might have the information I’m looking for, but I’ve looked a good bit and quite frankly couldn’t find any specifics on this subject.

I would find it so insanely easy if in the Wiki Dungeon guide, or an offical guide to give information on where you should be when you’re level [x]. I have been scurrying around, constantly asking where I, as a player, should be training my Pokemon and most of the time nobody answers and when they do, I’m stumped where to go next.

Also, the guide/tutorial should explain what level you should be before trying out any dungeon! It will help us new players out a lot and make the game a lot more newbie friendly, since everyone else knows what’s what. It would hurt absolutely nobody to place this information somewhere! I personally would benefit highly from it as someone who is forgetful and easily confused!

Kenzie! hi
PMU has a beginner’s guide at Coki’s beginner guide. I can answer too. You can give item to Pokemon! Then use the holding consumable item by pressing z,x,c,v. And Coki’s guide shows some key dungeons up to Skylift levels (up to lvl 40 or so).

A complete guide for dungeon level guidance? So awesome! I haven’t found any made though. But dungeon guidance is important! haha I’ve said that so many times on forums.

Ah yes I have used it and I suppose it does get across key factors for players just beginning but I am a very eager player and I would like to see MORE content on the guide! Also I am the kind of player who wants and sometimes needs a more in-depth guide only because I can be a little ditzy and confused at times (oops!). But that newbie guide does sum up the basics.

I would personally like to see more in-depth guides, specifically of dungeons which includes what Pokemon you will be dealing with (already seen those around though), what you should watch out for on floors [x-x] and floors [x-x] (such as the Diglett’s in Cliffside I believe? Wish I was told about those suckers!). Eggs from that dungeon (also seen on a guide, but these should all be merged together on an official Dungeon guide!).

The guide should also present every dungeon rather than the Exbel dungeons or newbie dungeons! Just for us newbies to see what’s in store later, allow us to be more excited to proceed and discover more! I would LOVE to know what level I should be where, what’s the minimum required level for this dungeon and that dungeon, what’s the recommended level if I wish to complete these dungeons, what I should be packing in my inventory for which dungeon, and just all of that in-depth very useful information for new players for the most part!

That sounds like a really fun idea! Could divide it into two though:

  1. Where to go for your level and moveset etc? (right now players ask global chat and hope for good answer, this needs something better!)
  2. What to look out for in that dungeon? Look up on PMU wikia! For example Thunderstorm Forest
But I think you already know all of this!
The PMU wikia is rather extensive in dungeon info, so if (1) gets more covered (probably needs many ways to be covered) then it should suffice to refer to the wikia for (2).
