There are positives to both the “Limited Arena” suggestion by Richard G and the “Challenge Command” suggestion by XxSorraxX.
It could be fun since you would be able to see all the action without a watch command, since it’s only 4x4 tiles. That’s all the positive spins I can put here… :’:
The Challenge Command allows you to challenge players separately without someone coming in to take the place of the other challenger in the Limited Arena. Also, it would take place in the main arena, so you could also take a friend with you into the arena and just watch the battles unfold from the inside of the arena (similar to the “/watch” command). And finally, you would have larger room to escape AoEs that the opponent uses, unlike the Limited Arena’s 4x4 tile layout.
The problem with both of these suggestions is that they are only limited to “two” players. What if you wanted to challenge a team like CTF, where you are separated into two teams? Then it would be extremely fun to join a team and just get battling. Or maybe have a free-for-all against the two teams, not limited to hitting anyone on each side or any other players that didn’t join a team. They could just put in /jointeam A or /jointeam B (or something like that) and have fun battling. They can leave the teams by putting /leaveteam or by exiting the arena. Of course, the “/challenge” command could still be implemented, as well as the rooms that MrJustified suggested, where they are hidden rooms for each challenger.
Finally, negatives. As I stated before, I don’t like that it’s just restricted to two members for these suggestions. I feel like the challengers could be expanded to the amount of four for a free-for-all, or maybe the teams I posted earlier. Also, I dislike that the Limited Arena would be so restricted with the space to dodge attacks, as well as two people just sitting in the arena, not allowing people to come in and fight. For the /unchallenge command that was suggested, I could also state that maybe it could be referred to as “/endchallenge” instead so it fits with the command phrases that are already used. The challenge could also end with exiting the arena, allowing the score to be finalized on the chat.
