Alright, so I’m not exactly new…
It’s been a loooong time since I’ve posted art onto here… and it’s been a longer time since I’ve logged into this account! My art in the past was really old and nasty, and I’ve improved a bajillion (declaring that a new number) times over!
IT"S MORE ANATOMICALLY CORRECT THAN EVER!
Okay, yeah I know that was a bit drab-- the color choice I mean-- but whatever man, whatever! Recently I have been focusing on realism and semi-realism, and honing my skills under the waterfalls when it comes to drawing… people. I hope you enjoy the silly doodles and unfinished sketches that I have. Some doodles, as I look back on them, I’m not too proud of, so apologies for the lack of drawings! I provided a bit of background information on the piece of work that I did at the bottom of each spoiler. I doubt you’ll be too interested in them, but I enjoy explaining them very much!

Now, as you can probably tell, the image on the bottom is the rough draft of the finished result (top image). What began as a melting Barbie doll evolved into a … not melting Barbie doll that probably isn"t a doll at all. Fun fact though: before the lower image, I began this doodle as a completely gray canvas, and frantically scribbled a black figure. I then started to add grays to the black silhouette as I realized what I was going to paint. Originally, she was supposed to wear a hood (hence why she probably has such a big forehead), but I scrapped the idea and worked with just painting hair.

This doodle was going to be a sketch for a comic I was planning on making, but I was never too fond of the concept so I scrapped the poor guy"s head in a folder.

This guy was one of the protagonists (eventually antagonist/anti-hero??) of the story/webcomic idea that I had. Basically, his temper and extreme sense of justice gets him in MASSIVE trouble, and so he escapes from his homeland to an island that shouldn"t even be accessible in the first place! I don"t know, the story is confusing when I explain it without any… BACKGROUND information, so "scuse me. If you"re interested, I"ll tell you!

[cue shady merchant music] Meet my new pokemon character, Yiannis. This is just a rough sketch of what he looks like, so please bear with the errors (i.e, the turban, his chest, the legs, the bone)… I"ve been developing for a little over a week now, but so far I am satisfied with how he looks and the story I have for him. Oh, you want to know about it!?
Good, yes! I"ll share it with you, then! Yiannis is a rather suspicious character. It"s not so much that he IS suspicious, but he acts so unnatural and melodramatic that it"s almost like a facade. Not many tend to believe his story due to his unsettling nature (whether it"s acted or not), and the complete bizarreness of it all. Although adept in exploring mystery dungeons and known for the artifacts obtained, Yiannis appears to dislike the idea of having an apprentice. Whenever asked about it, the Marowak simply circles the subject, stalling it or just changing the topic completely. I left out a bunch of information because I love talking about him and gosh I don"t want to flood this spoiler box more than already. If you want to know more just PM me or something, I dunno. [sob]

I have a bunch of sketches and drawings in my sketchbook of my characters, including some that aren’t seen here! [audience gasps] I’ll most likely update this threat often with these doodles when I can access the scanner once again. Hope you enjoyed some of the explanations, or the drawings (at least!)
