As we know, there are codes for the houses we make. There is one to notify when stepped on, One to block blocks, one to make a sign, and even one to make a shop. Now i had an idea for one more. A guild board!
Now what i mean by that is; there are tons of unused missions getting tossed because the rank is too low, the item doesn’t pay enough, required item is not in inventory, or just the person has no time to do that mission. But there are pokemon out there who would love to take on a mission and they might of run fresh out and still want to do more.
This is where the idea comes in. Similar to the Wonder mail command, the user of the house can make a command (Idea example; /housemail) similar to normal house commands. There, people who come in and out of their house can choose to leave missions they do not wish to do. When the owner returns, he/she can read them and take them on.Others can do this too.
If you’re wondering what i am talking about, think back to Pokemon Red/Blue rescue Team. The sign outside the post office is in plain view for anyone, meaning any pokemon can stick missions on there and leave anomalously. This can be very helpful to a Guild house, because sometimes guildmembers need missions in order to rank up and get better stats and levels. many good missions these pokemon can do are sometimes thrown away. This will benefit both sides of it. The one who posts the mission now has more room for more missions he/she would like to do, and the guild/player on the other side now has a new option for a mission.
Now there is one flaw i realized that will make it slightly hard; differing ranks and missions. Some pokemon might of never been to a certain dungeon that is posted. (Example; a mission for a MJ mission, but the person never went there before/never concurred it) The only idea i have for this is highlighting the missions on the board not suitable for the player in red or purple. That way the player knows that that mission is not available to him/her and will choose the others.
The command can be placed anywhere(but close to a mailbox or mission board makes the most sense) And as i would like to think would be used possibly with Gold Ranked pokemon.
Me likey.
Though as for missions posted in dungeons the player is yet to complete, i’d simply either have them not shown at all (game feedback message of some sort saying “There are missions on this board you cannot do yet.” or something similar), or highlighted in red and are impossible to take on.
Secondly, since it’s not really defined in OPs post, I think this idea should be implemented like this:
If a person isn’t a guild they will automatically have a “public” board - open to public, any/all people can add/take missions.
If a person is in a guild they have the option (aren’t forced) to make it a “guild” board - open only to guild members, so only guildies can add/take missions.
If a person interacts with a guild locked board when they are not in that guild they would get a message saying “This is a guild mission board” or “You must be in <insert guild name here> to access this mission board”.
In terms of rank, I think master rank should be the minimum (all guilds will have a master rank in them so this shouldn’t be an issue for guild boards) - i hope this doesn’t sound elitist but gold rank is really easy to get, and doesn’t take too much time if you are actually playing pmu to obtain, especially as this idea would to begin with get more missions for people so theoretically most people will be able to rank up faster anyway.
Master takes a bit more dedication to get, so I really think that it’d be a good additional reward to master rank to be able to add in a mission board; something which is a seriously huge aid to people so imo should need a bit of work to get.
That also provides a potential for explorer rank rewards…I mean, for example, what if at master rank, the mission board is limited to one page (or, 8 slots).
For every additional rank, 4 more slots are added:
So Master * - 12 slots (1 and a half pages)
Master ** - 16 slots (2 pages)
Master *** - 20 slots (2 and a half pages)
Guildmaster - 24 slots (3 pages).
This might mean a guild might need to be limited somehow to how many guild only boards it has amongst its members? Idk.
Oh, and additionally-
I think whoever owns the board/whoevers house it is should have the ability to remove missions from the board.
While that can allow wrathful people to delete high ranked missions, it allows people who just wanna chill to stop trolls flooding boards with E rank only missions for example.
Aaaaand I think the tile should be limited to either one per house, or the same board used for all board tiles in a house (so say you have two board tiles in your house, both board tiles would give access to the exact same board/so the same missions and such)
And finally, every fancy tile has a cost to place…I think, and oops potential elitism again, the tile should cost 10k poke to place.
Expensive? Not if you have the dedication to get to master rank (and gold rank, probably a little costly?) but also this is a massively useful thing, imo, i think it should be expensive to place for that reason - so we don’t have too many around (flood of missions = people rank up fast = people have access to good things too early, if you get me - to control game progression basically.).
This idea seems like a quite big and nice idea but a little tip edit your first post and just merge all replies by you if they are additions. :)
