Basic Story
In the world of only Pokemon, a Pikachu named Xyris is planning to take over the world. Many Pokemon on Rescue and Exploration Teams have tried to stop her. But every time someone goes after her, they disappear. The only little bit of information that they have about her, is that she can use magic. For her plan to go as she wants it to, she must find the 8 stones of Destiny. Each one is basically a stone with a marking from a certain gym badge inscribed on it. Well, except for the last one.
1.Heart Stone: Red/Cinabbar mark.
2. Soul Stone: Silver/Ecruteak mark.
3. Mind Stone: Purple/Saffron Mark
4.Endurance Stone: White/Snowpoint Mark
5. Love Stone: Pink/ Goldenrod Mark
6. Chance Stone: Yellow and Blue/Mauville Mark
7. Balance Stone: Purple and Yellow/ Mosdeep Mark
8. Stone of Hope and Will: Red, Silver, Purple, White, Pink, Yellow, Blue/ Letter ‘A’ Inscribed into it.

There is only one Pokemon to have ever gone against Xyris, and gotten away. His name is Marill. He was one of the best explorers around. Years ago, when he decided to cross Xyris, he did go missing for a while. He was found trapped inside of a crystal Pillar by a wandering Pikachu. Using his own magical powers, Pikachu managed to break Marill out. Marill can also use magical powers. He and Pikachu teamed up after that to stop Xyris. They call themselves Team Pokewizard.

Marill knows what Xyris must do to achive her goal. So he and Pikachu are planning to find the destiny stones before she can. They"ve given other explorers and rescuers word of this, and some of them will help as well.

The Destiny Stones are hidden in extreamly harsh environments. What those are can be left up to imagination for later. And so can any random towns and cities that pop up. Well, speaking of towns. At present, Marill and Pikachu are in a small town called Tanoby Town. There are a few shops and such there, and a bar. (It"s a Juice Bar people. Don"t get the wrong idea.)

Okay, this is just an odd little idea. If you want to join the Roleplay, here are some things that need to be known.

What Pokemon are you?
Are you on a Rescue or Exploration team? Or not?
Are you planning to join Team Pokewizard’s cause? (If so, you don’t have to join their team. This basically means, will you go against Xyris?)
Are you one of Xyris’s minions? (Yep, she’s going to need minions.)
If you’re on Pikachu and Marill’s side, will you go after the stones?
Are you a Pokemon that can use magic? (This will be a term known as Pokemage.)
Are you a Were-poke? (A Pokemon that becomes almost like a werewolf when conditions are right.)
Are you a vampire pokemon? (As the title implies, a Pokemon that sucks the blood of other Pokemon. This is not limited to the bat Pokemon alone. Vampire Pokemon may or may not be able to avoid normal vampire weaknesses, depending on the decision of the character’s creator.)

Now, Karai. Time for a surprise!

Minion of Xyris: Not likely. But, he might help her in some cases.
Magic: Gradually. (As in, he’ll discover his powers within the story.)
Reason: Okay, so Karai. You know that Rocket is my most-often used character for just about everything. The only time he became even close to evil was in my Story, Pokemon: Hero or Villain. So, you might be wondering why he’s not the good guy here. The answer to that is that Rocket and Mark have been feeling a bit… evil to me lately. Also, I’m wanting to write a story that doesn’t involve Luckychu as the enemy. (Woah. Imagine that. Xyris. A Luckychu. XD) So, I decided that either Rocket or Mark could replace him. Also, as to why he isn’t in a team, will be explained later.

Reason: Rocket and Shock, both of them, take a majority in my stories. Yes, her usual personality will be in this story, along with her usual past. Unlike Rocket, she actually knows about her powers, and also, Three Pikachu here that are alike… Xyris… the mysterious Pikachu… and Shock… each having Magic. Does something strike you odd there?

Magic: Again… yes. Power-crazy…
Reason: Mark is a part of Shock’s past… So both Shock and Mark received their powers at the same time. He might not have as many appearances as Shock or Rocket, but I’d like to see him here somewhere.

So yeah, you might be wondering what happened to Wonders. Well… I’ll get to that in-story, along with other things. I might come up with more characters when the time comes. Also, Rocket plays his own side, possibly making things difficult for Xyris and Team Pokewizard. But, even I don’t know how he’ll turn up in the end.
So… just wondering Karaia, can I join?

Wow, this seems like a well-thought out plot for an RP. :3 On Rocket’s behalf, I have designed a character specifically for this RP and decided to try jumping in. This sounds like it’s gonna be fun!..and interesting. :lol:

Name: Chah
Species: Riolu
Were-poke: Yes (this’ll be interesting, thought I’d give it a try xD). At any night, during a full moon, he grows larger claws and fangs and stronger legs and becomes more dog-like. In this form, he becomes a sort of beast and does not talk, just makes noises like growls and the like. And he also becomes unable to control himself and goes insane, often attacking friends and pokemon he loves, only to wake up the next morning as a normal riolu again (with a headache and no memory of his time spent as a were-riolu). The status only lasts over the night of the full moon but wears off at sunrise and he doesn’t take form again until the next full moon. (EDIT: Wereism has been transferred to Shock, and magic has been gained)
Team Pokewizards?: For the most part, Chah, in his normal form, will support the protagonists and only in his states of wereism will he go against them and maybe even help Xyris…this, however, will be as short-lived as the wereism lasts so as far as he’s concerned, he’s a good guy.
Rescue Team: As of now, no. He’s been in a couple Rescue Teams but he was kicked out of them when his team members became aware of his dangerous transformations during the full moon (of which Chah, however, is unaware). He’s a loner atm.
Stones?: He’ll help out if he feels he needs to; we’ll just put it at that for now.
Magic: As far as I know, no. Depends on what kind of magic it is. Chah may gain some special abilities in wereriolu form, that mostly consist of being able to run fast and having his aura powers doubled. But as for magic magic? Neh. (EDIT: Gained magic from Shock when powers were transformed. So now, he’s a magic riolu, no longer a werepoke)

Name: Skipper (Skipp-ah)
Species: Mudkip
Team PokeWizards: A definite yes. Will be siding with Chah under most circumstances. And would never even THINK to take sides with evil. x3
Rescue Team: Was on a rescue team with Chah before a were-transformation incident that caused the breakup of the three-member team (the leader wanted to be rid of him although Skipper opposed to the idea and went off chasing after Chah later when he heard about his old ally’s whereabouts) Is currently no longer in a rescue team as he never joined a new one after he and Chah’s old one disbanded.
Stones: Same as Chah. Will help if needed. In fact, will probably try to help more than he’s needed. Mega-enthusiasm ftw.
Magic: Nope. He will help out Chah with his new magic abilities, however, and still provide much assistance to the protagonists as a whole.

Well, nows as good a time as any to start…note that after the start, new characters may still be added.

Pikachu and Marill had been in Tanoby Town for a week now. They were at the Bar, considering what their next move should be.
“So,” Pikachu said. " Where do we go from here?"
Marill had a map spread out across the table they were at. “I’m not sure. There are too many places where the stones could be.”
Pikachu took a drink of his Oran Berry Soda, and then stood up. " Well then, just pick somewhere random. Xyris is sure to have a lead on those stones by now. We gotta start someplace."
" Well there is this place," Marill said, pointing to a spot right in the middle of the map. Pikachu took the map and found the spot Marill had pointed to. Then his eyes widened.
“Marill, that’s… that’s…”
" It’s a place called The Doomsday Ruins," Marill said. " It’s supposedly haunted, but it’s the closest place from here that we can check. Those stones are supposed to be in the oddest of places."
" Uhh…," Pikachu said, beginning to shake. " Um… well, Marill. I thought, the legends said they were in places where harsh conditions where. I mean, ehe, wh-where’s the harsh condition there?"
" Well, it… really doesn’t seem to harsh," Marill admitted. " But, it’s an old ruin type place, and the closest place we can go to. It shouldn’t take us long to get there from here. Come on!" With that, he bolted out of the Bar.
“Wait!,” Pikachu called after him. " I’m… afraid of ghosts!" Knowing that Marill didn’t hear him, he merely sighed and walked slowly out of the Bar. Marill was waiting for him by the door.
" Geez, what took ya? Come on!"
" Don’t we need to get supplies first?," Pikachu asked.
" Well," Marill considered. " Seeing as we got our supplies together last night, no, we don’t. Now, let’s head off to those Ruins!"
“Alright,” Pikachu said, not wanting to go against his partner’s decision. I just hope we can get in and out quick. Maybe we won’t even see any ghosts. Yeah. Maybe everything will be fine. I hope.
Marill and Pikachu followed the map out of Tanoby Town, and towards The Doomsday Ruins. From the path leading out of town, the’d taken a right turn, and then walked on for a while. Soon, they came to a very wheathered stone building in the center of five rock pillars. Pikachu stared at the building. " You’re kidding. You’ve gotta be kidding me. We barely walk a ways from town, to find this place. This is it? The Doomsday Ruins I was scared of? Doesn’t look like anything much at all!"
" You were scared?," Marill asked.
" Er, no!," Pikachu said quickly. " I just… thought maybe you were, that’s all."
" Riiiiiiight," Marill said, walking towards the building’s entrance. " Well, come on. Let’s check it out." When they walked into the stone building, everything was dark. There wasn’t one bit of light shining in, even from the outside. It was pitch black. Nothing in the room could be seen at all.
" Luminar," Pikachu said, lifting his hand into the air. A flashlight appeared within it.
" A flashlight?," Marill asked. " Why couldn’t you just use the move flash to light up the room?"
" Oh. I wasn’t really thinking about it." He switched on the flashlight, and shined it around the room. The walls were dark blue, and had eerie patterns enscribed on them. There was nothing else in the room. Nothing at all. No tables, no boxes full of ancient secrets. Nothing. “Looks like it’s totally empty.”
" Wait!," Marill said, catching site of something red on the ground. " Shine your light that way again." Pikachu did as he was told. The light revealed a red wristband with a white snowflake on it. Marill instantly grabbed it and put it on his right arm. “This… I thought I would never see it again.”
" What is it?," Pikachu asked.
Marill looked to the ground. " It’s…" No. I can’t tell him about them. Not now. It may make him more concerned with that then our search. " It’s something a friend gave me once. I dropped it during my battle with Xyris a while back."
“Oh.,” Pikachu said.
" If it was here, then that means…Xyris must’ve been here too."
Pikachu flashed the light around the entire room. " Well, she wouldn’t have found anything. There’s nothing here. I think it’s safe to say we can leave now."
" Maybe so," Marill said. " But with this place’s name, I would’ve thought we’d find something here at least."
Pikachu shrugged. " Maybe next time."
" Yeah," Marill sighed.
" Well then, let’s go back to town and plan our next course of action."
" Right.," Marill agreed.
They then exited the ruins, and headed back towards town. Not noticing the one small difference. The five pillars around the stone building were now slightly glowing. It was very faint, and hardly noticeable, but there was now a glow to them.

If the problem weren’t so dire… if the stakes weren’t so high… If there weren’t so much pressure… It would be a peaceful day. The sun was out, and bright. There wasn’t a cloud up in the sky. And the wind blew steady, not being too cold, and keeping it from being too hot. The Pikachu walking along the graveled path was feeling worried about the current situation. The situation about the Pikachu named Xyris, told to her by Team Pokewizard. She felt she had to do something, something that could help them in their search for the stones of Destiny. But before getting too far, a shadow of a Pokemon appeared to her right, and called her name.
“What do you think you’re doing?” The shadow asked.
“I’m going to Tanoby Town.” The Pikachu answered.
“No. You can’t do that. You’re simply not ready for this yet.” The unseen Pokemon strictly told her.
“Listen, my training is done. I can handle this now.” The Pikachu said, trying to reason with the shadow of a Pokemon.
“Your training will never be done. There’s always something new for you to learn. You have to realize that your competition isn’t going to be easy to beat. And Pokemon have disappeared trying to challenge her. What makes you think you have a chance?” The shadow asked.
“Because, you trained me personally. And besides, doesn’t she need these stones of Destiny to complete her goal? You know where those stones are. Why can’t you get them?” The Pikachu asked.
The eyes that could have been seen within the shadows closed, and the Shadow sounded like it sighed.
“You, of anyone else that knows me, should know that I cannot do that. Xyris knows of my ability, and won’t stop to hunt me down unless she keeps a close eye on me.” The shadow explained.
“Wait… what… what do you mean?” The Pikachu asked the Pokemon.
“This is where we’ll need to split ways, my friend. If Xyris figured out that you were with me, she’d probably go after you. I think it’s safer if you just stayed at home.” The Pokemon explained.
“No. Look, I already made my mind up. I don’t need you to decide my life anymore. And besides, who’s fault was it that my friend was killed? It sure wasn’t my fault.” The Pikachu asked.
“I tried to tell you, that wasn’t my fault either.” The Pokemon explained.
“Who’s fault could it have been? After he was killed, my best friend disappeared…” The Pikachu said.
“That was a result of what happened! I swear, I didn’t-” The Pokemon said.
“Just… stop. I’m tired of all of your lies and tricks. I’m not going to listen to you anymore. I’m deciding things for myself now. Do whatever you want with Xyris, just leave me out of it. When I do meet her though, I’ll make sure that I win.” The Pikachu explained, walking away from the shadow.
“Fine then, if you don’t want my help, I’ll simply not help you. But trust me Shock, you’ll regret this decision.” The Pokemon finished. Shock turned around at the shadow, and saw it vanish into the trees. She spent a long time inspecting the place, wondering if he was still there. When she decided he wasn’t, she decided to continue to her destination, where Team Pokewizard might be.

The stone pillars around The Doomsday Ruins were now glowing very brightly. A Pokemon appeard from the shadows behind the stone building, and walked around it, staring at the glowing pillars with interest.
" Well," She said to herself. " Seems like the key to unlocking the Heart Stone, depends on those who are pure of heart. Heh. Those idiots."
" Now, to reveal the location of the thing." She raised her hands up into the air. A dark aura appeared around her. " Spirits of the purest of heart. You will bend to my will. Show me the direction of the treasure that I seek!"

Pikachu and Marill had just arrived back in Tanoby Town.
" Now what?," Marill asked as they walked the streets.
" I’m not sure," Pikachu answered. " But you know, we could always ask the town’s fortune teller."
" Yeah, like that’s gonna…" Marill didn’t finish his sentance. He stopped in his tracks, and suddenly became non-responsive.
" Marill?," Pikachu asked, tapping his friend on the shoulder. Marill didn’t respond.

Marill wasn’t sure what was going on. One moment, he was walking with Pikachu in town. And now, he seemed to be soaring through the skys at light speed, heading for a place he never knew existed. He tried turning back, but he couldn’t. Whereever it was he was heading, he couldn’t turn back. He soon arrived at his destination. A lone island somewhere out in the sea. At the island’s center, was a huge active volcano.
Marill wanted to look around a bit, and see where he was, but he couldn’t move. He could only look on at the volcano ahead of him. Suddenly, it started to glow red, and an odd flame-like symbol appeared on it.
Then, he saw other Pokemon. Many other Pokemon heading for the volcano. They looked like they were on Exploration or Rescue Teams. As they neared the firey mountain though, they were knocked back by some unseen force. They looked back at the mountain, as though they’d wished to run at it again. Then, they ran the other way, and didn’t look back again.
There was one other group of Pokemon that came towards the mountain after they did. Each of them wearing on their arm a red wristband with a white snowflake on it.
“We have failed our leader,” One of them said, stepping forward. " But we will not let that hinder our goal. We will still aid him in his quest to stop you."
With that, all five of the Pokemon ran towards the volcano. Instead of being thrown back though, one by one, they vanished.
Then, Xyris appeared before Marill, holding a bright red sparkling stone in her hands. " Thank you for showing me where this is. With your help, finding it was easy. Good luck in your quest to get it before I do. Now that I know it’s exact location, you’ll need all the luck you can get."
" Wait a minute!," Marill spoke up. " What exactly is going on here?"
" Well," She said. " This isn’t the real world. This is the Spiritual Plane. Everything you see here, is what your heart truly wants you to see. Me however, I used you to get here. Meaning that if I found this Destiny Stone here on the Spiritual Plane, I should have no trouble finding it back in the real world."
" So," Marill said, his voice somewhat shaky. " The Pokemon I saw… them. They were…?"
" Whatever your heart wants you to see is most certainly real. Evidentally they wish you well. I’ve wasted enough time here now. I’m leaving."
With that she vanished.

Marill felt an odd sensation, and then the scenery around him changed. He was suddenly back in Tanoby Town. Pikachu was standing right beside him, still poking at him for a response.
" Are you okay?," Pikachu asked when he noticed Marill move.
" Yes," Marill answered. " I… I’m fine."
" You sure? You were out of it for like, almost a minute now."
" I… was?"
" Yes."
" Oh…" Marill looked to the ground. " That’s because I…" No. I shouldn’t tell him about that. Only the most important thing. " Never mind." Marill said, taking out their map. " Xyris has a lead on the first stone, and so do we. It’s on some volcanic island someplace."
" Volcanic Island?," Pikachu asked.
" Yes," Marill answered. He scanned the map, looking for an island with a large volcano at it’s center. Soon, he came across something. " I think it’s here." He pointed to an island called, Flaming Doom."
" Wh-what!," Pikachu asked, his knees beginning to shake again. " F-Flaming Doom?!! What is it with these places and the name Doom?!!"
Marill shrugged. " I guess it’s pretty common." He then rummaged through the stuff within their bag, and pulled out an Exploerer Badge. " We may not make it in time though. I’ll alert our allies. Maybe they can get there before we can. And before Xyris does."
A blue Aura surrounded Marill, and he raised the badge to the sky. " To all of our friends and allies. We have a lead on the first Stone of Destiny, the Heart Stone. It’s on a volcanic island known as Flaming Doom. Please, try to make your way there if you can. Xyris is also on her way, or possibly is already there. We need your help. Let’s stop Xyris, and save this world!" He then pressed the button on the top of the explorer badge, and a blue light shot forth from it and into the sky.
Marill then put the badge away, and looked to the wristband he was wearing. We won’t let her take this world. I promise you all that we won’t.

Shock listened to what Team Pokewizard told everyone.
“That’s great! That means my next stop is Flaming doom!” Shock exclaimed. “Huh. Just to think, I was just there only a few weeks ago training. But now… I have to stop thinking of the past. All of my friends are gone now… I need to focus on what my goal is. I need to make sure I can help someone in any way possible before my life ends…” Shock found herself talking to no one, and decided to stop talking about that. “By the powers of Electricity, zap me to Flaming Doom!” Shock exclaimed, electricity gathering around her seemingly from nowhere, then zapping her from where she was into the air as fast as lightning. But in a millisecond, Shock thought she saw Tanoby town, her earlier destination, and saw Team Pokewizard. But she may have been imagining things. Before she knew it, she landed at Flaming Doom, a volcano she had recently visited. Things seem different somehow… than last time. Could Xyris have beaten me here? It’s possible. She has powers, who says she can’t warp here? I’ve gotta be on high alert then. Shock thought to herself. But out of the corner of her eye, she thought she saw a red flash near the volcano. Was that…? No. It can’t be. I better go in before I lose my mind… Shock thought.

OOC: Meh, I was just waiting for the right moment to jump in, but I guess coming in sooner is better than coming in later.

In the water along the shorelines of Flaming Doom, a small figure was very faintly visible swimming towards the beach. A little blue snout jettisoned itself into the air, took a quick whiff, and plopped back into the water before continuing. As it got closer, red streaks could be seen running down the figure’s back, becoming more visible as the water became shallower. Soon enough, it emerged and stepped onto the beach, its bright blue scales glistening as the sun made contact to the water droplets which began evaporating into the air.

The little Totodile took a quick look around. This looks like a tiny little island, thought the Totodile, But maybe I’ll find some friends here!

Happy with the thought, the young Totodile dashed inland, not bothering to stop until something or someone got in his way to prevent his progress. It didn’t take long for that to happen though, for crackling electricity suddenly appeared before him and a Pikachu took its place, making the Totodile yelp and run for cover in the nearby bushes.

He watched as the Pikachu stood there, apparently thinking to itself, and his eyes moved unconsciously towards its tail. Its long, bright, jagged tail… NO! He suddenly thought to himself recalling what his mother told him, “Never bite an electric pokemon!” Remembering his mother’s words as clearly as if she said them yesterday, the Totodile resisted the urge to chomp down on the unsuspecting Pikachu’s tail. His urgency to bite betrayed him, however, and he suddenly appeared from the bushes with his jaws wide open.

Shock suddenly yelped and looked at the Totodile and automatically yelled, “Wonders, WHAT are you doing?!” But, then she remembered that Wonders couldn’t be there. “Wait, what am I saying? You’re not Wonders… But still, why are you biting my tail?” Shock asked. Well, Wonders wouldn’t bother biting my tail though… He’d just simply attack me. Lucky for this Totodile that I don’t release electricity when I’m surprised… thanks to Wonders.
