PMU Wiki?

Making a wiki isn’t all “Oh. Just haveta place this here and i’m done!” Like tetris.

It (as you should know) takes time.

anyway… :U --insert refrence to wobbaffet’s prevo here-

since we’re on the topic…how do you even make a wiki anyway? lol. Some sorta createarandomwiki.com type o thing? lol.[/quote]
I asked “is this being made?” not “why hasn’t it been made yet?”
There was no confirmation posted, and I think it’s possibly one of the best suggestions that’s been made for a while, and I’d hate to see it go to waste.
But of course, as usual you’re assuming that other people don’t know what they’re doing…

What are you babbling on about?

Anyway, i’ll remind Agunimon about this. Maybe she forgot about it or something.

Basically yes. Just that the site is wikia.com, you have to make an account first and then you can make a wiki. Thanks to that the process of starting a wiki is really easy.

I just thought about starting it myself right now but in fact there are already 2 wikia URLs reserved for PMU.
pmuniverse.wikia.com
pmu.wikia.com

As of now both of them are nearly completely devoid of actual content about PMU. Personally I’d prefer working with pmu.wikia.com because it’s a blank slate and simply because the URL is shorter.
Now to create a wiki with good quality only one more thing is needed, people need to decide which URL to use, and then we need to fill in the content. Of course it’s a little more work than it sounds like but that’s pretty much it.

When you made this did you asked permition from the staff?

Yeah, lets roll with the first one. Actually, if staff gave their permission, would be cool if we create an official one, since there are others made already. Something like “Pmuofficial.wikia.com”. If not…I’d choose the second link, pmu.wikia.com.

Also, If this really happens, it would be cool if this thread could serve as an edittion compilation. So everyone who ever posted anything on the wiki will have to post here following this format.

We’ll have to be careful though. Net trolls love to edit wikis and put whatever they feel like putting. Now, here is my last question: Is it possible to actually make a password and let the PMU community know it?

Of course, whenever you need help for this, just let me know!

So far I haven’t asked anyone anthing yet because I haven’t really done anything yet. The wikias aren’t from me and I haven’t made any edits to them either. Unless the staff wants to make it official I don’t see a reason to ask anyone though. But of course if the staff would make it official that would be pretty cool.

I agree, however I have no clue about passwords unfortunately, wasn’t able to find anything as well.

Well yeah, i’ll see if i find something too. Will let you know!

With all this ruckus, how could I ignore this?

We have some in-progress stuff but I can tell you, it’s far from complete. Since Ralin is the owner, I do hope he’ll get more active soon. Here’s a little snippet:

PMU 6 (WIP)

“PMU 6” as dubbed by the players and Staff was a change that occurred over time. Although the largest change from PMU 6 to PMU 5 or “Stone Age” was Evolution in which was added on the date of April 1st, 2009.

Gameplay
Much like its ancestor and descendant, PMU 6 had incredibly similar gameplay to both PMU5 and PMU 7. The Player would move with the Arrow Keys and primarily attack with the Control button. Very alike to PMU 5, PMU 6 had also included the Stat System. As the player leveled up, the Stat System would allow the player to distribute three “points” to any stat that suited to his or her liking; although the player could increase any stat through various items found throughout gameplay or via trading with another player. During this stage, players were able to recruit Pokemon upon defending them. Evolution was later added to the MMO. “TMs” were still able to be bought or found; similar to PMU 5 they had yet to receive the title of “Moves”, which did not come until PMU 7.

If anyone could help us with the history and stuff, that’d be great. Even Cynder, Ralin, or I can’t remember every single detail.

I would contribute pages to a PMU wiki,
I have already thought about making one in the past. :joy:

I guess I could contribute, the link is the one KLC posted, correct?

:dot:

Anyway, at least I think it is one of the 2 links I posted, but Agunimon has named it is the wiki made by Ralin, and to be honest I can’t find the name on either of the wikis.

Agunimon, could you clear up on which wiki exactly the work should be started?

If you’re interested in helping, I suggest contacting Ralin. :>_<:

Ah, I see, as I suspected you are talking about yet another wiki. Okay then it looks pretty clean and good as well so I guess sticking to that then would be great.
