The Plot
This is a story about a world called Lumina. For many thousands of years, Lumina has remained a happy place for most of the “races” that resided there. Including lush and fertile land, tall mountains, steep valleys, vast and wide oceans, dense jungles and forests and the ability for seasons to come and go. Seasons pass, time flows on, and crops grow. Most have remained happy for the past thousand years.
Although Lumina is a massive world, most of the land mass exists on one major continent or “super continent” of Syzuk, usually a generally peaceful land, all under the rule of the Emperor Yulling, and his daughter and soon - to - be - Empress, Reena. Yulling has kept Syzuk in peace for his fifty year reign, keeping business well, and been using the influences of magic and warriors to keep people safe and protected, healing the wounded and trying to save the sick. Most has been well, until recently. Both good and bad things have erupted on Syzuk.
An order known as the “Raising Phoenix” is a spy organization that is set against taking down Yulling as an emperor. The “Seal of Phoenix” being their symbol, they have been raising spies to take down the government as Yulling’s behavior has been cruel lately. Their plot is to usurp the Emperor, and create a democracy.
On the good side of the spectrum, the mechanics behind magic and mechas has recently become popular amongst the Syzuk communities, cities and towns. Magic has been explored more deeply than ever, allowing even the youngest child and oldest elder to learn how to use magic as schools have been opened across Lumina. Most famously would be the “College Of ShadowVeil”. Meanwhile, giant robots known as “mechas” have been created around Lumina, hyping the Lumina population behind the idea of mechas as protecting their people.
There is never a dull moment in Syzuk. Especially now when the most tragic event in centuries has occurred. Mana has absorbed by Lumina since the dawn of its existence, using it to create people, lands, magic, and many other things. While most people, including Scholars have always considered this a good thing, especially for their magic spells, people have recently learned the dangerous side effects of mana.
Scientists have begun to examine a disease known as “Mana Syndrome”, an illness created from absorbing too much mana. While mana helps creatures and people evolve and grow, mana has slowly begun to go overload; magic spells have been backfiring, and people have been creating “Negative Gates”. Negative Gates as they are called, are “dark” versions of what used to be “them” created through suppressed thoughts and emotions, causing them to become cold and heartless monsters, causing them to attack neighbors, friends and families.
Towns, cities, and communities alike have been gathering any warriors they can to defend their families, friends, and home. Children, teenagers, adults, and elders alike have been joining armies and militias since the monsters in Lumina have gone rabid and crazy, attacking any person or object in sight, the only way to stop them is through force.
Though there is currently no cure for the illness, there are rare people known as “Mana Mates”, people who can neutralize mana (although they can become Negative Gates themselves). At random, they are rare to come across, and you are one. You, being a regular person, a merchant, a spy, whatever you are might as well be the only one who can stop the “Fall of Syzuk”, your home. You will begin to embark on your own journey! Are you ready?

Races
Humans:
A relatively “bland” race, Humans have no specialties. They are generally neutral in all fields, allowing them to choose, although some cannot use magic as they are not born with it. Many find comfort in weaponry and mechas. They do not have any “special” powers. They are considered “selfish” by other races, and are driven by emotions.
Elves:
Another relatively “bland” race. Elves are also relatively neutral in all fields, although many are good at magic, especially Terria (magic of Plants), and Holy (Healing magic). Many are good at thievery and archery related skills. Elves are a calm, reserved race with their own language in which they respect greatly. Many lives in forests and in tribes. They love music.
Chimeras:
Originally Humans, Chimeras are a species that are “enhanced” Humans that were experimented on. Many Chimeras are shunned by society for being “ungraceful” so many wear shame and remain hidden under capes and cloaks. Chimeras have different traits depending on what they were combined with. It could be magic, strength, speed, or anything else. They usually have “sad” Histories.
Nekos:
Known as “cat people”, these are regular people with the features of a feline. Most make wonderful thieves and are skilled in abilities using speed. They are generally a peaceful race among all other races. They seem friendly with all races, even Chimeras. Nekos create their own villages, but do not live in tribes. They usually live in wooded areas, similar to Elves as they like to practice climbing skills. They do not like to swim.
Vampires:
Most are originally Humans, Vampires can either be the result of being “bitten” by another vampire or being an offspring (yes, Vampires can reproduce). Vampires are basically Humans that are enhanced in abilities, including the ability to regenerate health quickly. Vampires do not need to feed on blood, nor does sunlight burn them, but they do not like sunlight very much. They make their clans, usually in dark and dreary locations. They can transform into bats. Most vampires have wings; colors depending on their clans.
Lycans / Werewolves:
Most are originally Humans, Werewolves or Lycans can either be the result of being “cursed” by a another Werewolf or Lycan, or being an offspring (yes, Werewolves / Lycans can reproduce). While there is no distinctive trait about Werewolves, they are fair stronger than most races. They have the ability to transform into wolves at will (all have wolf appears based on their appearance). They live in packs and form their packs around rocky areas, usually caves and clifs. They get most of their strength during full moon.
Beginner Classes
Warrior: Warriors are masters of the physical arts. They are experts in hand to hand combat, only with weapons however. With overwhelming might, the Warrior shirks aside hand to hand opponents and dispels magic through sheer disbelief. They are high in both defense and attack, but lack speed. Some have little to no experience with any type of magic. They usually have heavy armor.
Weapons: Swords, Axes, Daggers, Broadswords, Battle Axes, Maces, Polearm, Spears, etc.
Thief: Thieves are usually stealthy and dextrous characters able to disarm traps, pick locks, and perform backstabs from hiding. Thieves are usually capable of melee or ranged combat, and tend to be focused on dodging attacks rather than withstanding damage. They often attack by dual-wielding daggers or other small one-handed weapons, relying on speed and number of strikes rather than sheer damage output. Thieves usually have a stealth ability, allowing them to disappear from sight, often this is combined with attacking an unaware opponent to inflict high damage. Thieves are usually restricted to the lighter armors, leather and the like. They are high in speed and stealth, but lack defense. They have little to no experience with magic. Some can use explosives.
Weapons: Daggers, Throwing Knives, Bows, Explosives, Tonfas, etc.
Fighter: Fighters are masters of the physical arts. They are experts in hand to hand combat, only with their own physical strength however. They are high in both speed and attack, but lack defense. Some can use magic, but many have little to no experience with magic. They usually have light armor.
Weapons: Arms, legs, gauntlets.
Mage: Mages are masters of the Arcane or magical arts. They are experts in spell casting and enchanting weaponry. They can cast spells from any of the main elements, discluding Dark or Holy magic. They are high in intelligence and speed, but lack defense and attack. Their armor is usually cloaks.
Weapons: Staffs, Staves, Spears, Polearms, Shotstaffs, Wands, Scythes, etc.
Clerics: Clerics are masters of the Arcane or magical arts. They are experts Holy spells and healing magic. They can banish those of evil, cure ailments, and heal the wounded. They are high in intelligence and speed, but lack defense and attack. Their armor is usually cloaks.
Weapons: Staffs, Staves, Spears, Polearms, Shotstaffs, Wands, Scythes, etc.
Necromancers: Necromancers are masters of the Arcane or magical arts. They are experts on Dark or Black magic. They can raise the dead to help them fight with them, create “evil” spawns, and use Dark Magic to inflict pain on others. They are high in intelligence and speed, but lack defense and attack. Their armor is usually cloaks.
Weapons: Staffs, Staves, Spears, Polearms, Shotstaffs, Wands, Scythes, etc.
Gunner: Gunners are the masters of ranged combat, only to Archers. They are experts in guns and machinery, as well as explosives. They can shoot from a distance, and are speedy. They are high in speed, but low in defense and attack. Some gunners can actually use magic.
Weapons: Rifles, Shotstaffs, Pistols, Grenade Lauchers, explosives, etc.
Archers: Archers are the masters of ranged combat, only to Gunners. They are experts in bows and the mechanics of Archery. They can shoot from a distance, and are speedy. They are high in speed, but low in defense and attack. Some Archers can actually use magic.
Weapons: Bows, Throwing Knives, Boomerangs, Boomerang Daggers, etc.
