[RP] Team Dark Dusk

Introduction
Ok, this is an RP (duh). In this RP everyone is separated in different sub-teams, just like Team Rocket. All the teams are teams that do evil like Team Rocket (try to be eviler though). They"re usually competing against each other to see who"s best. There"s 2 - 4 people on a team and 2 - 4 partner Pokemon per team. They can have up to 4 Pokemon with them at a time, not counting the partner Pokemon. The partner Pokemon can be any Pokemon that isn"t fully evolved. You can evolve it later in the RP, but not when you first get it. Please ask me if you can evolve you Pokemon before doing so.

Setting
The year is 2020. The area is the region called the Abyss region. It is home to many Pokemon, mostly the Pokemon that are found in Kanto though. That being said, there aren"t many Pokemon from the Isshu region around. I"ll make a map of the region later.

Information
You are a member of Team Dark Dusk now. You"ve just graduated from the Academy of Dusk about a week ago and you are now getting your Dark Dusk uniform. When you get your uniform, you will get your choice of a partner Pokemon. The partner Pokemon available is every unevolved Pokemon. You must choose which partner Pokemon you want before it"s taken by another trainer. There are also some Pokemon around that you are to use to battle. The partner Pokemon may be used to help in battle when necessary. The Pokemon you must choose are all first stage or second stage evolutions. All graduates get 3 Pokeballs, 2 Potions, and 1 Escape Rope.

Rules

  6. All sub-teams must have 2 - 4 members.
  7. Sub-teams must travel together, no matter what.
  8. The Partner Pokemon does not have a Pokeball, therefore it stays out all the time.

  10. Please, and I stress this, PLEASE don"t godmod.
  11. Sign up on the sign-up thread if you"re interested, please.
  12. All Pokemon caught after you have 4 Pokemon will be sent to HQ. You may call HQ at anytime to get them back.

Battle Pokemon and Partner Pokemon
Your battle Pokemon will be the Pokemon you use to battle. You get your first battle Pokemon when you sign up for the RP. After that, you must catch your own. Partner Pokemon will be used mostly for support or if your battle Pokemon fainted. If all your Pokemon are fainted, you will go back to the last Pokemon Center you went to.

Team 3

Minako woke up early in the morning. Today was the day she would get her uniform and partner Pokemon. She walked downstairs and said to her mother, “Good morning, Mother.” Her mother was oblivious to the fact that she was going to graduate from a school that taught her evil and that she was going to dominate the world someday. What her mother actually thought was that she was going to a normal trainer school and that she was going to be a full trainer today. Her mother waved happily and smiled while saying, “Isn’t today the day you become a full trainer? I wish you luck on your journey. Be sure to visit me when possible!~” Minako nodded and walked out the door, waving goodbye to her oblivious Mother.

On her way to the Academy of Dusk, Minako began to think of what Partner Pokemon and sub-team she wanted to be on. She hated the number one and the number three didn’t fit her, so she chose to be apart of sub-team two. As for her Partner Pokemon, she would choose an Electrike. She already had 4 Pokemon with her, so she didn’t care what battle Pokemon they had to give. As she walked into the door of the academy she loved, she wrote her name down on the sub-team two sign-up sheet. The only thing she had to write was her first and last name.

As soon as she wrote her name down on the sub-team two sign up sheet she headed toward the available Partner Pokemon. She was happy Electrike wasn’t taken yet. When she reached for the Electrike, it immediately shocked her. Minako knew that that was a happy shock. She heard her name called to receive her uniform, they called the names randomly and the person who was called had five minutes to get their uniform. Minako ran to the Home Economics room, the room where they received their uniforms. She decided to get the blue set for females. She changed into it in the changing room. She had her green goggles, messenger bag, and black choker added to it. She thought she looked pretty good in it. Minako then remembered she would have to find her sub-team partners before venturing off into the world. She looked around the academy to search for her soon to be partners.

Shadow yawned and got out of her colourful zorua pattern bed. She gathered up her belongings in her bag and walked downstairs where her father was reading the Abyss Times and her mother was cooking breakfast. “Bye Mum and Dad I am going away to graduate,” she muttered. Her father grunted in a hostile manner then spat, “Less mouths to feed and children that bug you.” Shadow put her hair up in her usual style and put up her hoodie. As she went to the door she heard her parents. “Good ridence to bad news,” they tormented Shadow. A tear ran down Shadow’s cheek. Her father loathed her with every bone in his body. She had been abused by him when she was younger and her mother was always terrible to her and didn’t look after her well. Luckily she had Luna to keep her company and she was her best friend. Shadow slammed the door as hard as she could almost breaking it.

She sprinted to the Academy of Dusk. Shadow looked around to see if anyone had spotted her crying and signed up her name on Team 2. She never fitted in with the number 1s or 3s and they were far more hostile to her than the people in Team 2.

Shadow gulped. She was afraid to tell the leader in charge of partner pokemon that she had a stronger and better pokemon. “Excuse me,” she stammered. “I have a very strong pokemon here and very rare, I can’t see it on this partner pokemon area and this one has been with me for a while, she is very smart and is very handy and can transform into anything which would make any missions far more easy and have a higher sucsess rate,” she said anxiously trying to persuade the partner professer.(thats what I call it x3) Shadow plucked the pokeball out of her bag and sent Luna the zorua out to greet the partner professor. “She is fast for her level and I am certain would be more efficiant than another pokemon and she obays me perfectly,” she added.
“Fine, but I am watching you pup,” the professor warned with an edge in his voice. Shadow felt a rush of joy then remembered that she shouldn’t act like that or else she would get in trouble.

Luna jumped onto her shoulder and Shadow ran off to get a uniform in the home economics room.
Shadow picked the black jacket and then added her zorua accessories. She was thought to be a quirky weirdo but she took it as a compliment. She tried her best to look like Luna.

Minako noticed Shadow in the home economics room. She remembered Shadow was one of her classmates. She liked Shadow’s attitude a bit and she decided to say hello to her just in case they never saw each other again. She walked into the Home Economics room and waved to Shadow, saying, “Hiya Shadow. What sub-team are you on? I’m in sub-team two. I’ve been looking everywhere, but I can’t seem to find anyone else who’s in sub-team two. I’m hoping my partner or partners aren’t as stupid as a log,” she sighed and continued, “like that Joey guy. He choose Rattata as his Partner Pokemon and a team of Rattata as his Battle Pokemon. I feel sorry for whoever gives him their Pokegear number. He’ll probably call them a bunch for pointless stuff. So, uh, anyway, what sub-team are you on?”

OOC// Lol, HG ref ftw xD

“I am on Team two aswell, I guess you will be stuck with me!” she joked. “What partner pokemon did you pick?” she asked. “I chose zorua obviously, I wasn’t its gijinka for nothing!” she pointed to the zorua on her shoulder. “Her nickname is Luna and she is really good at transforming with illusion,” she explained. “I had to persuade the person in charge of partner pokemon that I needed the zorua that I had before and it would be much more efficant, it was really hard,” she admitted. Shadow was a bit scared of Minako, well almost everyone in the academy but thought that she seemed nice.

Minako was amazed. It took a lot to make the professors let us use a Pokemon they didn’t raise themselves. She said to Shadow, “Wow, you actually convinced a professor to let you use a Zorua? That’s amazing. Anyway, I got an Electrike,” she bent down and petted the Electrike that’s on the ground and continued her sentence, “it’s really good at paralyzing and when I use my Manectric it should be very useful. Manectric has the ability Lightningrod and it raises it’s Special attack stat when hit with an electric type move. So I can easily win any battle with that strategy. I wonder if anyone else is in our sub-team…I hope so, the more people the easier it will be for us to get promotions. I really want to be an admi-- Oh, I’m sorry, I must be talking too much. I tend to talk too much when I’m excited.” Minako began to wonder who else would be on their team.

“Me to sometimes I babble on nonstop!” Shadow sniggered. “We should look for the other members Minako, I hope they get another good partner pokemon that could make an awesome combo, like a vulpix(I didn’t relise that somone had it I just checked them XD) or an eevee well an eevee isn’t really helpful until it evolves; a ditto would really helpful,” she babbled on her thoughts. “Only Luna could transform better than any ditto anyday well use illusion!” she boasted. “Luna and your electrike could use an awesome combo to help get rid of weaknesses!” she thought outloud. “Imagine if all the partner pokemon in our group were mamels, I think they are adorable and so fluffy, in my opinion zorua is the most adorable, I have had Luna since I was a little girl,” she talked nonstop. She stopped talking realising that she was being irritating.

Kaori moaned, as the sun glistened onto her face. It was brighter than ever it had seemed. The rough edges of the park bench had struck her back when she was sleeping. She also had a few splinters. She stood up and looked at her pokebag, there was a watch. She rummaged through it to see the time, 8:48. “Dang, I’ma have to hurry.” she sprinted up and brushed her hair. She sent out her Arcanine and speeded to the academy. Thoughts ran through her head, am I too late? Am I too early? She had utterly forgot the time she was suppose to be there. She was always reluctant to remember things like this.

She hopped off the Arcanine, smiling. She called her back, and said “Thanks Desire,” She wasn’t late. She had forgotten to choose sub team one, two, or three. “Well, I was the second child, and 22 iss my favorite number.” she hissed to herself, thinking about her parents.

She stepped into the academy, and wrote her name under “TWO”. She looked at the available Partner Pokemon. She saw a vulpix and Kaori starting to grin, but then a flash of memory came by. “Try not to have emotions. Right.” The Vulpix jumped into her arms and she knew she wanted it. “KAORI” She ran to the room where the clothing was. She chose the purple the same as everyone else .___.) clothing. She added [from her bag] a long necklace with a dove on it, but hid it. She wore a black bow in her hair, trying not to be too girly. She put on red contacts [so she would look more intimidating], and wore heavy wrist bands. They had two gold roses inside, but she flipped them inside out. She put on another necklace with a single black rose, it had spiky thorns on it; it actually could hurt someone. She also wore her Poke-tie. She looked around just to find anyone. She found the girl who dressed as a Zorua, and called out, “'Eyyyy.” She kept her ‘annoyed’ face, and walked to the two girls.

“Hiya!” Shadow chirped. “What team are you in?” she asked. “Whats your partner pokemon?” she asked once again irritating people. “I chose zorua, it took tones or persuading to keep Luna, she is really good at using illusion!” she added. “It would be funny if we all had canine and feline pokemon then we could nickname the team something cool,” she said in a lively voice. Shadow was one of the youngest girls in the academy and often was the most annoying. She was known as pup but thought the nickname was kinda annoying.

Whew… this is the day…, Mac thought to herself, peering at herself in the mirror as she admired herself in her new Dawn Dusk uniform. Although it was nothing close to a pretty outfit, it was more than a hundred times better than the one pair of ripped and beat up clothing she wore during her training at the academy. It had been a while since she had been able to change to a nice set of clothes – in fact, she hadn’t been able to do so ever since she was forced out of her city after the rotten theft had happened in her band. She would’ve loved to return back to her home to assure her parents she was still alive and well, but she knew she wouldn’t be safe returning there – especially since she was not only wanted as a jewelery thief, but she was also now an official member of a criminal organisation to boot. She wondered if her parents were doing well, and hoped they did not fret too much over her disappearance way back when; however, she was glad they didn’t know about where she was in life now. She knew they would be a little short of proud if they saw her wearing this uniform as she was.

“Well… let’s do this,” Mac breathed to herself, blowing the fringe out of her left eye before it fell loosely back down. Her heart was racing with both nervousness and excitement – she hadn’t expected to graduate with her barely passing marks, and she definitely didn’t know what she was to expect now. She had signed her name on a piece of paper (to help determine her team? Her brain was half-awake as she did it) and was handed her the new uniform she was to wear. She remembered learning from her courses that she would be receiving a partner pokemon to assist her with her assignments and she was more excited about that than anything. Mac had never owned a pokemon before, aside from her mother’s bulbasaur that was kept as the family pet more than anything else. She did, however, remember tidbits of what she learned in her classes about training pokemon, and she hoped her small amounts of knowledge wouldn’t fail to assist her in what she was expected to do as a Dark Dusk member.

As Mac left the restroom and tagged along behind some of the other graduates she recognised from her classes, she was led to a room full of many different kinds of pokemon and her heart started beating wildly at the sight of them all. What kind of pokemon will I get?, she pondered, twiddling her thumbs in anticipation, Whatever it is… I hope it’s a good one. Although just having one now… oh, this is so fantastic… if only mother and father could see me now, receiving my first pokemon… well, they’d be…

“Oi! Having a little trouble deciding…?” a voice came from her right, and Mac spun around to meet one of the higher ranked Dark Dusk members – assigned along with the group to help out with the newly graduated rookies, she was sure.

“Oh, just a little…” she chuckled in response, scratching her neck, “I mean, there’s just… so many of them, I guess. I’m really not sure where to look…”

The higher member looked at her bemusedly and crossed his arms, “You mean, you don’t even have an idea at all? Do you perhaps, favour one pokemon type over another? A dual type? Would you prefer a pokemon that evolves quickly, or one that takes a little longer but pays off with a vigorous, sturdy evolution – like a dragon pokemon?” As Mac tilted her head to think, he continued, “You know, most graduates have at least an idea of what kind of pokemon they want. There must be something you’ve got your mind set on.”

After pondering for no more than five seconds, Mac shrugged – she really wasn’t sure what pokemon she preferred, because she had never even owned one before. “Well, I… I guess it’d be nice to have a loyal pokemon,” she finally decided, “You know, a pokemon that will always stay by my side, through thick and thin…”

The member shook his head and palmed his forehead – how much of a rookie was this kid? “I can assure you, Miss… Mac,” he said, glancing at the name tag pinned on her new Dark Dusk jacket, “All of the pokemon here were trained to be unmistakably loyal and follow orders by their respective masters,” He chuckled a bit at the girl’s stupidity – surely she should know that, having attended her courses and graduated? As Mac lowered her gaze, about to think it over a little more, the Dark Dusk member got an idea and took her arm, “But if it’s loyalty you’re looking for,” he suggested, “We do have a naturally loyal pokemon that you may remember learning about, which is almost guaranteed to obey you unconditionally. Do you think you may be interested in a growlithe?”

Growlithe… what was a growlithe, again?, Mac wondered to herself, trying to recall the pokemon from her memory – it wasn’t easy to remember all those pokemon she learned about, even though she sat down trying to memorise them all for hours on end before her exam on the subject. Instead of responding with a gap of silence, she quickly came back with a “Sure! That sounds like a good pokemon!” The member sweatdropped, but took her hand and led her to the long rows of specially trained partner pokemon nonetheless.

As they approached their destination, Mac took sight of a small, orange blob that was tightly curled up in a ball as if sleeping. One of its ears perked and the pokemon lifted its head – after catching sight of them, it automatically jumped to its feet and started wagging its big bushy tail and grinning widely, its tongue lolling down and over the side of its mouth. Mac instantly remembered the pokemon at the sight of it: An average sized dog-like creature with orange fur and charcoal black stripes down its back and legs, and cream coloured hair on top of its head and around its neck, reaching down its underbelly. It looked exactly as it did in the textbook; just looking a little smaller than “average-sized” with ears that looked larger due to its smaller head and a longer tongue, giving it a more the appearance of a puppy, or a younger growlithe.

“Oh – a growlithe!” Mac finally exclaimed, putting her hand out under the growlithe’s nose, “Hey there, little guy… you sure are energetic, aren’t you?”

“Growl… ruff roff!” the growlithe responded happily, its voice higher as opposed to the deeper voice of an older male growlithe. It sniffed her hand and gave it a juicy lick, causing Mac to chuckle at the ticklish feel of it.

“I’ll take this one,” she decided nearly instantly, falling in love with the pup’s adorable antics, “I wonder why no one else has already chosen you? You’re such a sweetheart, huh?”

“Roff!” the growlithe’s tail wagged faster as a liquid began running down from its legs, creating a puddle on the array of newspapers underneath its feet that Mac had failed to notice before. She looked over to the Dark Dusk member who had escorted her and saw him smirking at the sight of the hyper growlithe.

“That is likely your reason…” he replied with a hint of amusement in his voice. “That growlithe is still a little younger than some of the other trained partners,” he went on to explain, “It’s a popular pokemon around these parts; it’s hard to keep up with demand, so we got stuck receiving this growlithe a little later than some of the other pokemon.”

“I can still choose it though… right?” Mac asked to confirm, picking up the dripping puppy and holding it under its arms and in front of her face, receiving another juicy lick to her nose. “I mean, it’s not too young…? And you did say it was trained…”

“Oh, of course!” the Dark Dusk member assured quickly, glad that the pokemon had been chosen since they had expected it to be rejected because of its lack of… potty training, “It’s already trained quite well in battle – it’s got a good ember and bite attack at its disposal, and it will be a great partner. It just might be a little… slower than the others, because of its age…” He put his hands back up again, “But no worries! It’ll prove to be a strong pokemon the more you train it, and its evolution, arcanine, is a pretty fierce competitor. Growlithe is a solid choice.”

Mac grinned. “Great!” she chirped… before realising that seemed a little cheery for someone in a criminal organsiation. “I mean…” she cleared her throat, and slanted her eyes down at the member, “This will do just fine, sir. I will not let the team down.”

The member clasped her shoulder, a little painfully on Mac’s part, “Now that’s the spirit,” he chuckled lowly, locking eyes with her before walking off to help another, “Make sure to get your partner registered, and find the rest of your subteam – keep your eyes and ears open, rookie. Remember, this isn’t a game… this is the future of Dark Dusk, and we’re counting on you…”

“Sir! Yessir!” Mac yelled out, clutching the growlithe pup to her chest with one arm whilst saluting to the senior member. She looked back down at the growlithe and allowed herself to grin again at it. “Well…” she started, caressing the scruffy hair between its ears, “You and I are partners then, huh? I guess we should probably get registered, shouldn’t we?”

“Grrooowwwl!”

OOC: Long intro post is long… I apologise. The others won’t be as long as my first couple posts, just 'cause I’m trying to get some background before interacting. x’D

Mac"s partner pokemon is her first pokemon, and the lack of battle pokemon isn"t going to be good for her, is it? xD She"ll be receiving a zubat shortly for a battle pokemon just to start her off, but I didn"t include that whole part in this first post because I was kinda trying to make this post as short as I could without stifling yawns. She"ll also catch her other battle pokemans near the beginning-ish… if things go as planned. x]

Also, Mac might not be very… evil at first. But she"ll learn. Oh, she"ll learn… ;P She"s just a little slower than everyone else – much like her growlithe. X3

Goodness; she and that growlithe are starting to show similarities, are they? Let"s just hope Mac is potty trained… (haha!)

Danny woke up early in the morning, excited because he was finally going to graduate from the Dark Dusk academy. Now his parent were excited also because his mom didn’t know that it was a school for evil trainers. His dad on the other hand was an ex-Dark Dusk member. So they decided to keep that their little secret.

Danny had been thinking for along time for what partner Pokemon to get, and the battle Pokemon he will get. He already had some choices so he would choose there. First he had to get to the school because he was going to be late!

The day went by so fast and it was time to get his uniform and his partner Pokemon. He went to get his Pokemon there were so many choices it over whelmed him. Then just one Pokemon stood out, it was a Kibago. When he went up to him it jumped in his arms so he knew he would take it.So he went to the Home Economics room to get his uniform because they were giving them out there. He took some clothes which he though were “stylish” and was happy to see how he looked. But now he had to find his team which was another hassle.

Stepping out of the Home Economics room he saw three girls talking they had their partner Pokemon out, except for one. So Danny walked over to see if he could find find anyone on his sub-team. Danny was a little shy at times and this was one of those times. So he stepped out of his his comfort zone and introduced himself. “Hi my name is Danny do you know where I can find the sub-team two?”

“We are right here!” Shadow said in her usual impish voice. “You will be stuck with me for a long time,” she joked. “My name is Shadow incase you forgot or just know me as pup; I love zorua and this is my partner pokemon, Luna,” she introduced herself. “She is amazing at transforming, I had to persuade the person in charge that I needed this zorua and would work better,” she admitted in the same way she told Minako. “Oh boo I am the youngest in this team, oh well it doesn’t matter lets just keep our spirits up!” she kept on babbling on. “So far all of the partner pokemon are either canines or felines,” she said in an interested voice. “What did you pick?” she asked in a curious voice.

Well, I choose this little guy pointing out the Kibago hiding behind his legs. Sorry if i broke a chain or some thing he said with a little laugh.“So are you guys ready to head out since every one is here or do you want to wait in this boring old town?” Danny asked

Minako saw that girl walking towards them and said, “Good evening, Kaori. I wouldn’t be surprised if you didn’t remember us from our classes together, but I’m Minako and that’s Shadow. What sub-team are you on exactly? Shadow and I are on sub-team two. Your Vulpix is so cute—” She was cut off when she noticed the class clown of her classes walking towards them.

She sighed when she saw Danny, she never liked the fact he didn’t take his classes seriously. She decided to be nice to him since he was acting serious at the moment. Minako looked at him and said, “Oh, good afternoon…Danny, right? Sorry, I tend to be forgetful after a week of no school. Oh, and I’m Minako if you don’t remember me.”

Minako was happy to hear the words, ‘head out’ she had always wanted to leave the town of Larkland, or as some call it due to the HQ of Team Dark Dusk being there, Darkland. She said to Danny, while taking out her Pokegear, “We should probably trade each other’s Pokegear numbers. I would hate if one of us got lost or something. Then we should head out to the Darkwood Forest.”

OOC// Sorry I forgot to mention in the introduction, everyone gets a Pokegear when they graduate. Oh, and I still have to make a map… Until I finish it, the next town is Yasigama Town just so you know.

Shadow gave a timid look around, she was a bit of a scardey cat. “Can I travel with you guys? I heard that there is a terrifying pokemon in that forest,” she admitted softly so no one else that isn’t in her team could hear. She wanted to stick together incase something bad happened.

Minako nodded and said, “Of course, Shadow. We have to travel together anyway, even if we don’t want to. Which we want to of course…I’m sure the thing about a scary Pokemon is just a rumor, there aren’t any scary Pokemon around Darkland, and if there is, we will catch it.” Minako looked at her Pokegear and announced her number, just in case they get separated they could call each other. Minako then waited for everyone else to insert her’s and tell them their’s so they could leave the boring town.

Shadow gave her pokegear number to everyone. She had been trying to get a zorua as her wallpaper for it but so far it looked terrible. Shadow began to wonder what the scary pokemon was if it wasn’t a rumor. She scratched Luna’s ear and gathered her things in her bag. She followed everyone and stared at Danny thinking. She looked around thinking. “Do you guys specialize in any type of pokemon, I do in dark types every one of my pokemon is one,” she said trying to start up a conversation. “I don’t know whether is a coincidence but all my pokemon are fluffy mammals,” she thought out-loud. “I wanted to be the dark type gym leader for ages but I couldn’t,” she muttered.

Minako inserted Shadow’s Pokegear number into her Pokegear. After that she began to ponder about the question Shadow had asked. She thought out loud, “2 of my Pokemon…Well, 3 now that I have Electrike, are Electric type. The other two and Dark and Normal. So I sort of don’t specialize in only one type. If I had to, I would specialize in Electric types. Their speed is undeniably the fastest of the types. And their Special Attacks aren’t that bad either. I actually can’t wait until we start catching Pokemon, I want to get a bunch of Electric type–” Minako suddenly realized she was talking way too much.

“The one rare pokemon that I really want is Monozu. Its so amazing and strong, not to mention being a dark type. When it evolves it can learn tones of great moves and when its fully evolved we can fly on it to get to destinations quicker. It looks amazing as well, its so cool,” she said in awe of its power. “It would be a great asset to our team if we could find one the problem is that they are incredibly rare even in the Isshu region,” she sighed. “I wish I had a baruchai or komatana, most of my favorite pokemon are from the Isshu region, its a shame that they barely ever appear here,” she muttered. “Oh well it doesn’t matter I love all my dark type pokemon!” she chirped feeling more joyful now.

Minako decided to comfort Shadow. She said to her, “Don’t worry. Maybe if we’re a good enough team they’ll send us to the Isshu region one day. But we’ll have to work really hard to do that. To be honest, I want a few Pokemon that are in Isshu as well. They’re Kokomori, Mijumaru, and Shimama. Shimama especially because it’s a really good Electric type. It’s unusual for me to like flying types, but Kokomori is an exception. I like Mijumaru because it’s so cute!~ I could just hug it all day!” Minako went on and on about Isshu Pokemon, then she remembered they should probably get going. She said, “We’d better get going. We want to be the best sub-team ever, right? So we have to work hard to do so. So let’s leave this academy to go to the Darkwood Forest~” She began to walk out of the Home Economics room and out of the door of the academy.
