Skip cutscenes

Many cutscenes are long and repetitive, a “Skip” button would be nice, maybe starting from the second time.

I like this idea! +1 for me!!

Part of my mine says yes while the other part says no. Cut-scenes are for advancing the story/plot of PMU, something PMU currently doesn’t have. But it does get annoying overtime so I’ll support a “Skip” option for the second time onwards.

Mmhm. Agreed. Maybe if you make a new character, you can skip cutscenes you’ve seen before? Just seemed appropriate considering you’ve already seen them.

Especially that freaking long tutorial! D: Buneary, you speak too much. But the problem is some cutscenes make you move. If you skip these cutscenes, what will happen? I remember going too quick on Buneary’s Tutorial and freezing the game, so how would you fix this?

Hrm. Maybe if you press a potential “Skip” button, the screen fades to black, then fades back to where you would have been if you did go through the dialogue? Basically a super-fast-forward-time-warpy-thing.

I don’t find the “plot” too important, but I personally do watch the cutscenes the first time. But, like it’s already been pointed out, using different characters would mean spamming Enter over and over.

Yeah, I didn’t include that in my idea because that’s kinda obvious.

There’s actually a way to skip that.

Anyway, I support this. I especially find the cutscenes annoying in Seafloor Ruins.

You can skip the tutorial at the cost of having no moves. Just giveup after choosing and your at crossroads. I believe this also skips the long eevee intro. correct me if its patched

It’s been patched. Now if you try to give up after choosing a Pokémon, you will not go to the crossroads. You will not be able to give up like if you were still an Egg. As for inside the forest, if you choose to give up, you will just spawn back at the beginning of the forest.

I don’t know what kinda story folks think there is to PMU besides text boxes of static words and Pokefaces, but CDQ approves of skipping cutscenes so long as you have went through it at least twice

Agreed, it’s an overtime consuming thing to keep seeing the same scenes over and over again.
