I’ll try and explain as best as I can what I have already told a few others who have asked me and other staff members similar questions…
The purpose of the compensation event was to allow players a somewhat easier time at getting back to where they were before the rollback. If we had the option to restore all lost player info from the rollback, we would have done it. But there is just no viable option to do that.
It is nearly impossible for us to tell how many accounts were or weren’t affected by the rollback (especially those that were completely lost… Sure, people have screenshots of their accounts from before the rollback, but it is fairly hard to determine what is real and what isn’t in screenshots, because images can be easily manipulated… You also have to keep in mind, not everyone has screenshots of their character… What do we do for those people? We’d have to give them their own personal form of compensation that is still fair to those who had their accounts restored to some degree… The biggest problem though: This is A LOT of work we are talking here!
We wanted to keep the event simplistic enough so we could still work on restoration (we didn’t finish content restoration by the time we wanted to get the server back up… Tanren Chambers is a prime example, that place is in need of much repair, and that alone is quite a bit of work for the staff team). Our goal is to find a balance where we give you guys “Some” form of compensation, that wouldn’t eat up our work time too much… This is pretty much the best we are going to get.
I’m sorry we can’t please everyone, but we are trying our best to fix the game, monitor the new server, work on the PMU8 Server and Client, get back to our previous development so we can get you guys some “New” content, and we just spent the last five months trying to bring the game back to you guys. We really appreciate the positive reactions we have gotten so far, but there just isn’t much else we can do in terms of the compensation event (at least in terms of bringing your accounts back to where they were)… You are just going to have to live with what we can offer right now.
As for the Eevee distribution… Again, we can’t please everyone, and we are doing what we can to make the return an enjoyable experience for everyone. The distribution was a last second thought that was suggested by one of our staff members, and we decided to roll with it… Sure, not everyone likes Eevee or it’s evolutions, I’m sure you would much prefer something else. I’m going to simply close off by quoting a good friend.

Regardless… I’m sorry if you are not satisfied with what we are doing with the compensation event, but it is pretty much the best we can do for now… We are still trying to test the server with events like dodgeball and such, the egg distribution is starting tomorrow, and we are working on re-releasing Halloween and Winter Holiday Cave.
