So I made this! Tell me what you guys think! Any criticism and/or feedback would be greatly appreciated~
For a first try, that signature is pretty awesome. Keep up the good work, Star. ^^; Though, a few things that I’d like to mention, which would add a little more spark to 'em.

Text: I don’t know which program you use, but PDN, Photoshop, and GIMP offer some text-outlining and glowing options, that’d help you with making it stand out.

-
Background: A lot of people use their own backgrounds. It’s not essential, but again- it makes your signature more prominent. A good start would be messing around with colours, layer opacities and clipping masks.

The Render: Notice how I added, the; to highlight the importance of giving these a little more effort. You could try to add some brush-on effects, or make it glow/outline if you want.

BordersBorders aren’t necessary, but they give, what one may call, ‘The finishing touch’ to any signature. So try that. Loads of types of borders out there!~

Honestly; Experimenting is really the only way. While following many tutorials, I developed my own style, and learnt new things that the tutorials/guides didn’t even explain. A bit of hard work, and some effort can do wonders.
Hope this helped. ^^;
Thanks, Erlade! And I use Paint.NET. I only recently got it, so I just kinda started messing around on it and that happened…
I would suggest trying this tutorial if you’re using Paint.NET; it’s easy to follow and gives good results. Though obviously after that, it is key that you find your own style/way of creating signatures. Personally, as I have just started using Paint.NET, I mainly use C4Ds and then mess about with the Layer Properties and Opacity settings.
As for text/borders - try using a variety of fonts, and see which look better. Borders are the simplest part of a signature - for a basic border just use the Selection tool and highlight the top and bottom of your signature, then fill it in. Once you’ve got the hang of your program, you can try out different styles and find one you prefer.
In any case, a good start Star!
So I took your advice, and made this. I’m actually kinda happy with the way it turned out, I think it just needs to be not as long, and I need to increase the height.
Not bad! I too use Paint.NET!.. It looks nice! However, I have some tips.
I’m not a great banner maker, but I’m a little experienced with it!
First of all, your background: It looks nice, of course! But I have some little tips.
You should try and find C4DS, and copy and paste them. But make sure you put them on overlay, though. (I mean, the layer that your C4DS is on.) Anyways, with that layer/C4DS, I tend to go on: Adjustments > Hue / Saturation > and put your ‘Saturation’ so that the C4DS into grey.
Once you’ve done that, just get another C4DS and repeat! However, with this one, you still need to put it on overlay, and go back to Adjustments, Hue / Saturation and just keep messing around with the brightness, hue, etc! You can basically just putting C4DS ontop of eachover, and just see what you like!
And for your text, I suggest downloading some nice looking fonts and plugins. Just like on my signature I have on at the moment, text makes a signature stand out a lot more than you think. So just download some and see what you like best!
Last of all, added detail! Like in my signature, I have a random twirl. You can put whatever you like, put it on overlay and sort it out by using hue / saturation again to make it blend in.
I hoped this helped!
P.S > for more info, I suggest asking Redstars78 for help. (He’s like my mentor, haha. He also made the siggy I have at the moment!)
