Sone serious balancing!

Here is a list of thing which is needed to make the arena balanced and fun

  • All AOE moves larger than 3 tiles banned
  • All single tile moves should have a low Cool down and no hit freeze
  • 2 tile spray move should have no hit freeze but a medium duration cool down
  • 1or 2tile AOE moves should have hit freeze but low cool down
  • 3tile AOE should have hit freeze and a large cool down
  • All Line of sight ( multi target) moves should have a hit freeze and a medium cool down duration
  • All line of hit moves (single target) should have a hit freeze and a low Cool down duration
  • All spray moves allowed but they have a hit freeze and a long Cool down duration
  • status moves should have no hot freeze or cool down

The staff have stopped caring about PvP aspects of moves and, honestly, pretty much nobody cares about the arena either. I think cooldowns and hitfreezes are fine as they are now. Let’s go over your suggestions.

    On the arena, they’re already frowned upon.

  • All single tile moves should have a low Cool down and no hit freeze
    Pretty much all of them have default cooldown and no hitfreeze.

  • 2 tile spray move should have no hit freeze but a medium duration cool down
    That’s how they are now.

  • 1or 2tile AOE moves should have hit freeze but low cool down
    No.

  • 3tile AOE should have hit freeze and a large cool down
    AoEs with higher range have higher cooldowns.

  • All Line of sight ( multi target) moves should have a hit freeze and a medium cool down duration
    They do.

  • All line of hit moves (single target) should have a hit freeze and a low Cool down duration
    I don’t think they have hitfreeze, and that is kinda good.

  • All spray moves allowed but they have a hit freeze and a long Cool down duration
    No thanks.

  • status moves should have no hot freeze or cool down
    Just no. Status moves shouldn’t have either? Now that’s just silly. They’re the most OP, huge AoEs aside.

Also keep in mind that AoEs with range 2+ have .75 damage multiplier, 3+ have .75 acc multiplier AND the damage nerf. 3+ sprays have .8 damage and acc multiplier.

The balancing of the arena is a bit too harsh with your restrictions. The Grassroot Arena is made to be free for all players, with the only restriction is to be Level 16+. They also made an arena in Tanren that sets all Pokémon to Level 50, making it more for people that wish to have competitive battles. The Grassroot Arena is supposed to be wild, not over-the-top competitive. And also, you’re pretty much asking for moves to be altered for an arena. That would take some serious programming to set the flags back and forth for these moves.

If anything, we should have Private Arenas. :/

I agree with your input on how Staff should edit the NPC/Arena battling. But I also think that the Staff have done a good job as it is, despite the occasional lag. (Which staff can’t control to a certain extent)

This sums up my thoughts.

It’s a good suggestion but I do not see a place for this within PMU. While this makes moves for fair, it also makes them unsuitable for PvP usage which is what you are suggesting this be implemented into. If the restrictions are implemented into all of PMU, it would make dungeons exceptionally difficult, especially getting out of tough spots.

So basically your suggestion is to keep the moves the same? lol

His suggestion would make moves more “fair”. In other words, a player with an EiF move will actually stand a chance against a player using an AoE or LoS.

Isn’t it already fair though? I mean these moves aren’t exclusively for specific players, anyone can use em. If someone chooses to use something in a less effective manner than isn’t that on them?
