RIP old town

Anyways, we most likely won’t bring it back, even if 10 people (lol) vote they want to bring it back. (There’s only a total of 15 votes, how much time was that poll open?)

Admittedly I miss the the old town a bit, the new one feels quite stretched out, but it seems to just be familiar nostalgia other than that for me which isn’t a viable reason and why I’d vote to keep the new town.~

Also, forgive my prying, but why were the staff advised to vote the old town only? Surely anyone who spends time there, which is just about anyone, should have had their say in the margin of time the poll was open.

I do have to say the old towns were quite nice yet there is absolutely no chance that they possibly would come back as PMU will keep proceeding forwards making respectable & decent progress.

Why exactly is this the case? Shouldn’t both options be viable for all parties (staff and non-staff) so there’s nothing skewing the results?

Regardless, I don’t think there’s any problem with the design of either town, but it sounds like a real hassle to remap (by hand) a 50 x 50 map (which takes me a solid 3-5 hours when doing it from scratch) just for nostalgia’s sake.

If there’s something in particular that’s annoying or flawed about the new town, I think this is a great time to talk about that. Are the locations of shops harder to find? Is it too crowded? Is getting from Point A to Point B difficult? Is it not visually appealing – but remember to include why.

Just because an idea can be shut down doesn’t mean there aren’t other things about it we can discuss!

Fire away! I’d like to hear some feedback and thoughts.

Do your best to have an unbiased poll, pi2z. You’re making assumptions, and can end up skewering your own results because of it. ;)

I can’t remember the old town, actually, although I might have been there for it. Anyone got some screenshots?

Is there not a house you can visit somewhere in PMU as to where there is a version of the old town, and as you walk to the edges you receive fake ads for iPads, or is that just my imagination?

Yes you can go to the old Town maps through Char’s house.

Yeah, in Char’s house (The Kokiri Forest map) entering Link’s house will warp you to a remade Grassroot. Not sure about the iPad thing you mentioned though.~
