This is just a small list of early goals for you all to do from the beginning of the game until about level 40 or so. It’s not meant to be much of a guide, just a list of things you could do! There’s no particular order you need to do these in, and there’s a lot of things you can do that aren’t on this list, so keep that in mind!
- Get Cut from Sour Root Cave! (up, then right from Grassroot Town)
- Evolve! (Defeat the boss of Cliffside Relic, then take the Engraved Tablet to Faded Relic. To get there, take the path left out of Grassroot town but don’t take any forks.)
- Get to Winden! (Go north along the left side of Loch Lenile and follow the path from there.)
- Get Rock Smash from Sauna Cavern! (The dungeon itself is inside the mountain’s chambers in Snowbasin Town.)
- Get Surf from Mineral Cavern! (The dungeon is in Exbel, and needs Rock Smash to access.)
- Get the Affinity Pendant from Concealed Laboratory in Winden! (Beat all three of the bosses on separate runs and take their drops to the Treecko outside the dungeon entrance.)
- Get to Tanren! (Go to the right of Loch Lenile and take the path down past Handyman the Machoke. You’ll need Cut.)
- Get to Archford! (Use Surf at the dock after Mineral Cavern – or the one before it, if you’ve beaten Southern Sea. Once at the island, go over to the right side and run south to another island. You’ll need a Pokemon to walk on the water.)
