Umbra jumped up suddenly.
“Hey hey wait, it ain’t that late allready is it? My watch says about…ugh can’t see”
She pressed a small button at the side and the watch face lit up.
(love my watch, mine has stars and make star shapes on the ceiling when i use it XD)
“hmm…about 7 o clock…i’m no where near tired too”
ooc: winter or summer? …7pm is dark here either way lol.
“hmm?..strange… 7 and its dark…i aint all the tired. what shall we do?..” kila said sighing.
Umbra fanned herself slightly.
“boy, bit hot in here don’t you think?”
She walked to the windows and opened them, stepping out into the balcony.
She stretched and yawned, the windows were quite high…high enough to…
“huh’? what the- AH!”
Valefor came crashing in and jumped onto Umbra, happily chirping and rubbing the side of her face.
“ACK! I can’t breathe with you on me…get off Vale”
Valefor stood off, but had to bent over slightly, incase he hit the lightbulb, which he was watching carefully, somewhat fascinated by it.
“ugh, Valefor you can’t be in here, i told you!”
Valefor started to calm down to his usual self a bit, and nodded calmly.
“good, now shoo sho-AH!”
Valefor jumped on her again, starting to annoy her now.
Umbra sighed then sat up.
“you not gonna go?”
Valefor shook it’shead harshely.
“you gonna go in the morning?”
Valefor purred quietly, as if to say mabey or i don’t want to, but i will.
“Okay, it’s just for onight then right?”
Valefor nodded then got off her back.
Umbra stood up and dusted herself off.
“hey sorry guys, mind if he sleeps with us for tonight? we might have to keep the window open though, or let him sleep in the Balcony”
She felt her face heating up, feeling quite embarased after that little scene, and her voice was now like that of a whisper, but you could still hear her over the bustle outside.
Skylar had followed them to the dorm room and had taken the key for the room. She and her Phoenix had remained quiet for the whole walk to the dorm. Once they entered the room, Ripple chirped happily. Skylar knew instantly that Ripple had liked the room. Once she looked around enough, she threw her small bag up onto one of the top bunk beds. “Well then, this bed shall be mine,” she had said.
“I’m not tired either, not idea what we should do… I don’t feel like going to sleep,” she complained slightly.
When Umbra’s Aeon came through the window, she was slightly frightened while Ripple simply stared at it, chirping. She nodded her head curtly at Umbra’s question, to be quite frank, Skylar didn’t mind if they had another guest for the night.
Ripple released Skylar’s shoulder from her talons, and flew over to Valefor. She flapped her wings steadily and chirped at the bird with a human body and dragon wings. Ripple had always liked things that would be listed as odd.
OOC// Sorry for the late post, had to get to sleep around 11pm (central timezone) last night.
Valefore spotted the oddly coloured bird from the corner of his eye.
He turned to face her, then twisted his neck, looking sideways at it, unsure what it really was; never seeing something like it before.
He chirped happily after remembering something he had seen, drawings of an ancient bird, who plumage inproves so much in fire, that it is believed to be reborn; and the feathers of the bird had great healing powers. Valefor cooed lightly at the bird, and touched it lightly with the side of his head, he had a hunch that was the same type of bird, but there was no way to be certain, at this moment in time.
Umbra smiled and sat on her bed.
“aww, he made a friend”
She watched the two for a while, then sighed and started to kick her legs.
“so, what do we do now? we have quite some time to kill”
Valefor looked at Umbra and poked his head towards the window.
“nah, don’t feel like going out again”
Valefor nodded briefly then nudged the bird again, enjoying the feel of it’s feathers.
Kila turned around and saw valefor. “mhm…its fine if he stays…” kila looked at valefor for a bit before her cat Mia came out of her robe. “meooowww…” the cat meowed. the cat walked over to valefor and rubbed on his head (like cats do with feet arms etc.) and purrred.
Avalon simply stared at the Aeon, twisting his head in an unusual angle. After staring at it for a few moments, he flapped out his wings and fluttered over to the window sill, letting out a hoot he remained still, as if he were a statue.
Cloud shifted from her bed, popping her suitcase open. She removed her clothes from it, pulling out a blue storage container below and tucked her clothes in neatly. Even she was surprised that she packed her custom made blue uniform and black boots. She tucked in spare jeans, and a variety of t-shirts, as well as jewelry, including a rare cut Amythest Necklace.
She than sat up and placed a bland coffee mug onto the edge of the desk, and filled it with pencils and pens. Placing down two packs of paper and two empty notebooks, she let out a sigh as she went over to Avalon.
“Comfy?” She stroked Avalon’s feathers, he still didn’t move. Instead he gazed up at the moon, it was full and had light clouds of mist around it, it gave off a pink glow. It was very beautiful.
“Reminds you of home, huh?” Cloud chuckled as she scooped up her notebook and a black pen and went over to her bed. Lying out, she lounged on her bed as she went over research notes.
“So what are you guys majoring in?”
OCC:Basically, what are you going to study during your time at the academy.
“Black magic mainly, and a little white magic, they don’t exactly have summonings here, I heard that they used to, but some students got badly hurt so they shut down the sector and stopped teaching it, shame though…I wonder what sort of things they taught”
She put her hand to her chin and sighed.
“so, what are you doing?”
Valefor yawned and curled up next to Umbra’s bed, placing his head on her pillow.
“meeooww…” kila’s cat said again. “come here kitty kitty…” kila said to her cat. “mew…” kitty kitty said as she went up to kila and slept on her pillow. “im gonnna sleep…good night…”
Cloud came close to saying Necromancing, but she stopped herself. Instead she replied with a practical tone.
“I’m here for Healing Magic, and maybe some Combat Skills, though I’m not much of a fighter, despite my title.” She flicked her palm, as she placed her head on the pillow, observing Valefor, Umbra’s Aeon.
Than she stopped paying attention it and turned towards the wall. She fell silent, only listening to her breathing. Perhaps it was wrong, but she wanted to know their responses.
kila then spoke. “oh…and im here for battling skills and athletic things…now good night…” kila said as she went to sleep.
“cool, healing Magic. I’m rubbish at that, really”
She giggled slightly and the tips of her fingers on her right hand glew slightly, but faded quite quickly.
“it works, just not for long enough, barely does anything to be honest, I kinda gave up on it years ago”
She yawned and stretched.
“mabey we should get an early night, I’d like to be up early tomorrow.”
She walked to her bed and laid back on it.
“hmm…combat skills and battling skills, what’s the difference, I’m not good with this education thing”
Valefor moved closer to Umbra, so Umbra’s head rest against his neck.
Umbra smiled and turned over, stroking his neck, smoothing down the feathers, and playing with his hair a bit.
“so…a whole week till classes start, wow, Lot of time to kill.”
“meow…” kitty kitty meowed as she jumped down and slept on valefor’s head.
Valefor panicked slightly, and flung it’s head up suddenly.
Umbra slipped and fell off the bed.
“ow what?”
Valefor shook his head quite violently, he didn’t appreciate others touching him when he was tired.
Umbra rubbed her head, which she bumped on a sideboard.
“ugh, Valefor”
Valefor raised his head and sat up.
Umbra frowned and pointed to the floor by the bed.
Valefor slumped off the bed and curled up on the floor.
The witch climbed into her bed, but slept on the edge side, stroking Valefor’s hair.
Once Umbra fell asleep, Valefor muzzeled her shoulder, trying not to wake her up, he rested his head near hers, cooing softly till he went to sleep.
Several time during the sleep, Valefor sat up and watched out the window, for some reason, only today, he was acting childish, but a bit cautious and alert; seeming almost frightened.
“mew…” kitty kitty said sadly. kitty kitty only being a small kitten. kitty kitty then went to kila’s pillow again. kitty kitty was sort of a night cat. sleeping in the day in kila’s robe. awake at night walking around doing kitty stuff.
Valefor awoke again at about 5:30.
He stood up and carefully opened the curtains, trying not to rip them. Valefor then pulled on the bed sheets, taking the blanket off Umbra. He bent down and nudged her shoulder, trying to wake her up.
Umbra shielded her eyes, from the light shining through the window.
“Ugh-w-what time is it?”
She looked at her watch and sighed.
“aww, thanks Valefor” She stretched her arm and stroked the side of his face.
She looked around, but the others seemed to still be asleep.
“hmm…heavy sleeprs mabey, oh well, cmon Valefor”
She walked into the bathroom and washed her face, washing Valefor’s too, as carefully as she could, the cold water startling him a little.
Umbra looked at the sink then lightly touched the water surface with her finger, and ripples went through the basin. She slowly raised her finger, and a small stream of water rose up with it.
Valefor watched carefully then smiled, he flicked his wing slightly, and the water splashed into her face. He laughed happily, but Umbra seemed to find it more amusing than he.
“hehe, oh shh, we don’t want to wake the others do we?”
Valefor nodded slightly.
“right…now how do we get out?”
Valefor could barely fit in the bathroom, because of the door frame, being a little bit to low. He pulled out, but the bone frame in front of his wings got caught on the wood.
He began to tug quite harshely at it, but couldn’t get free.
“ugh, Valefor, what have you done now?”
She pushed him at the shoulders, but he was truly stuck.
After a while of thinking and finger biting, and quite some explaining, Valefor managed to turn onto his side and crawl out.
As soon as they got out she started to giggle again, but this time Valefor reminded her to be quiet.
kila woke up around 5:40. “hmm? oh…good morning rena. valefor…” kila said yawning. kila was in a less killjoy mood today. since she was tired.
“uhm…It’s Umbra, uh please”
Valefor nodded and looked at Umbra, before walking to the window and standing on the balcony railing, which was made of white marble, so could support him easily.
“urhm, I’m just going out for a bit, get some fresh air, goodbye”
She walked to Valefor and he took flight, flying around the building.
Umbra stood on the railing, which was quite wide. As soon as Valefor came around, which was pretty soon, she jumped off, landing on his back. She held her legs on the left side of his body, and she rested her hands on his head. She pushed his ponytail over the other side, so it didn’t hit her all the time, but she still had to hold it in case.
Valefor cawed loudly and flew up high, he flew around the buildings several times, then went into the air, just under the cloud line, but Umbra started to feel strange, the air being much thinner there, so she got less oxygen.
She smiled and reached up, able to touch the clouds, they felt strange, not like cotton woll as young children may think,
but airy, more like bubbles. They were cold to touch, and her hand became covered in small water droplets, sliding off while Valefor flew.
She held her hand to her head and started to feel a bit dizzy.
“Valefor”
The aeon nodded then began to slow down, gently gliding down, and Umbra slowly got her breath back, but still felt that dizziness.

“hmm? oh ok.” kila said. she watched valefor and umbra fly. kila,for one of the few times in her life,smiled.
Umbra and Valefor made their way back, Umbra caught Kila watching them, she smiled back and climbed off once Valefor landed again.
She smiled at Kila.
“I saw you watching us, is something wrong?”
Valefor made a cooing noise and flicked his hair to the side again.
“hmm, yeah, say Kila, how bout you take a ride with Valefor?”
