[sub]This is a thread I made months ago, but it has recently come to my attention that it gained little to no notice, and I believe that it should be of interest to the members of PMU.[/sub]
When one is busy training away or keeping the little rascals intent on our demise at bay inside dungeons, it becomes easy to lose track of time, which, if one isn’t careful, leads to a nasty surprise consisting of the oh-so-stealthy wind.
However, in contrast to the wind on PMU, the wind in the PMD games is much more easy to keep track of, as it freezes you momentarily and plays an animation. In PMU, you get a short sound of wind (which you cannot hear when you have good music playing, such as Justin Bieber), and a notification in the battle log (which swiftly disappears when you have the wild NPCs spamming moves such as confuse ray, powder snow and those other moves that they just love to use).
Now, I am aware that implementing this into PMU gameplay is near-impossible, and admittedly I would prefer if it wasn’t there, but I am suggesting that a timer be added to count down how long a player has until the wind sweeps them out instead. Maybe an icon resembling this somewhat, somewhere on the screen:
Or instead of having the wind stage messages in the battle log, they could instead show in the chat window, making them much more noticeable and hard to miss!
It would of course only be a rough indicator of how much time is left, such as 1/2 time gone, 3/4 time gone, etc, as it would only be in place to help keep track of time.
I believe that this will enable players to manage the time they spend on one floor much better, and also will help people know how much time they have if they need to go ‘afk’, as well as helping prevent people getting caught off guard and losing their items.
If you have any opinion on this matter it would be appreciated if you submitted an answer in the poll, and if you want to make any comment please do so -
