I’d have to say…Pokemon. The concept is very creative, and I like the Pokemon themselves, too. But not Jynx
One of the good things about it is the satisfaction you get when you win a battle–especially a big one against an important person like the E4 or a crime syndicate admin/leader. It’s so suspenseful, and I end up talking to the console; I literally hug the DS when I win the game. xD
Over the years, the storyline has been improving. Black/White was awesome with storyline–I cried at the end, and let’s not forget the amazing POKEMON MYSTERY DUNGEON!
We also have a lot of different Pokemon games to choose from–there’s a dungeon-crawling kind, and an RPG kind, and MPR and Pokepark etc etc etc.
OH MY ARCEUS I FORGOT TO MENTION THE MUSIC. Especially PMD and B/W/B2/W2 and D/P/Pt and HG/SS music. AMAAAZING. All of the music. Amazing. Especially Eterna Forest. :'D
I love Fire Emblem to death. Fire Emblem the Sacred Stones, along with Pokemon Red, was my first video game - and it was the first video game I’ve ever played. Ever since then, the franchise has held a special place in my heart. I will never get tired of playing that game.
// Otherwise, Pokemon is awesome too. Luxray is win.
The Kirby series!
Who couldn’t like this series? It’s about a pink wad of gum that goes around eating everything. The gameplay is fun, the idea is unique, and the design of everything is so simple it’s amazing. The main character is basically a pink circle with arm stubs and Red shoes, and it’s still one of my favorite character designs to date. The plots aren’t much, but some may surprise you. Their spin-offs are fantastic games, and I can say the same with the games that follow the first game’s gameplay. This series has so many good games, I don’t think there’s a bad one out there! C’mon. We got pinball, a game with a Yarn theme, a game where you control 10 mini-kirbies at once, a game with a whole bunch of games in it, and more! A bit of the series is a little… dark, too. coughcoughDark Mattercoughcough Oh, and the music~ ;u; Beautiful woorks of art so unique I cannot describe.
If you haven’t played one of the games yet, go. Now. Gogogogogogo~.
Oh man, Red! I cried at the end of Black/white too! Not because of the story… I mean, I did cry because of the story, but that was at the credits. I cried because the background of that one scene where there’s this huge picture of N is just too bright… my eyes hurt at the end of it. |D
…and why don’t you like Jynx? ;A;
But… um, yeah. Favorite game franchise would have to be a tie between Pokemon and Sonic the hedgehog. The pokemon games are just too epic and fun to play, and never fail to make a great story great. They also tend to add some humor from time to time. I mean, even a game as simple as Pokemon Ranger (The first one is the one I’m mentioning.) can make me laugh at all of the jokes they have in there. With the sonic games, the gameplay is usually entertaining and the characters fun (Although Sonic, the main character, seems to be getting most of the attention lately.). The “Dreamcast era” of the Sonic franchise would have to be my favorite era of the games, when the Sonic games were made for the dreamcast. In the games such as Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2, as well as the less popular Sonic Heroes, you can play as multiple characters too, compared to the current era of sonic games where you usually can only play as other characters in multiplayer features. But, um… yeah.
