Described by Rex as “once a cheerful person”, Richard isn"t as cheerful anymore. Richard has become increasingly distant from everyone, including his two childhood friends. Richard recently went missing under the alias of “Masked Phantom”, and seems to have lost a portion of his memory since then. He seems to be suffering from a case of select “amnesia” in which he sometimes stumbles over what he was doing or thinking, sometimes forgetting things about himself. Richard is extremely overprotective of Rex and Nick who are like younger siblings to him, and will go to extreme lengths to protect them. He seems to be particularly close with his Electabuzz and Scizor, having no other Pokemon. Richard is described as “calm, collected” and is rather “soft spoken”. He is actually the shy one out of the group. Richard dislikes Pokemon Battles for unknown reasons, and hates hot weather, despite loving swimming and water. He has a certain strange amount of confidence when confronted by a thief.

Biography / History:
Once a relatively lonely child due to his shy tendencies, he became good friends with loud Daniella and lazy Rex somewhere along the lines. Richard was never close with his family, so he wasn"t usually home and was instead, out on a hill in Pallet Town with Rex. He was the oldest of the three, but was always the shyest and calmest, Daniella was like the team leader.
When Daniella left for her Pokemon Journey, Richard followed closely behind. However, he went missing shortly afterwards. After confronting villains on the harbor of Vermillion City under the alias, “The Masked Phantom”, he joined sides with child prodigy, Kyle. Together, the two jumped aboard a ship and was able to destroy an organization known as “Team Elemental” before they began.
Upon returning back to the city, it was revealed that Kyle was traveling with Rex and Daniella, who was now under the current alias of “Nick”. He was walking away without saying anything before he suddenly collapsed, getting dizzy and disoriented, currently forgetting who he was. Upon taking his mask off, Rex and Daniella immediately recognized who he was. He has been traveling with Rex, Daniella, and their team since. He has forgotten about most of his disappearance, and is suffering from a select form of amnesia that sometimes attacks him.
Other:
For whatever reason, Richard tends to play “hacky sack” with his Pokeballs before throwing them out to battle. Richard is nicknamed, “Rex"s Shadow”, due to having several similarities to his childhood friend, Rex. Richard is sometimes pointed out for having “abysmal” style.

It"s hard to say whether wild child Nick ever had any manners, because she certainly doesn"t act like it. Running around like a wild animal (bare foot), and being a slob has always been part of Nick"s personality. Manners or not, Nick has always been a kindhearted girl who has a certain sense of compassionate and sympathy for other. However, this does not always show due to slight social anxiety in Nick"s personality, sometimes rubbing off as cynical and sometimes even sadistic. Nick can be extremely friendly and hyper having ADHD. She loves to eat and sleep, similar to Rex. She is terrified of Snake Pokemon in which her older sister collects. Nick is incredibly impatient and is hot - headed. She hates it when people tell her that she is “flat chested”.

Biography / History:
The “founder” of Rex, Richard, and her"s childhood trio. She was originally the one who brought everyone together, being the most friendly out of them. She is good friends with most of her family, but hasn"t seen her parents in three years due to them having to relocate regions suddenly. She isn"t on really the best terms with her parents because of it, but still loves them all the same. She has been watched by her older sister and her creepy snake Pokemon including Arbok and Seviper.
She recently left on her Pokemon journey, returning suddenly four months later. She was absolutely shocked to find that Richard went missing (although she wasn"t surprised that Rex will still being useless). She and Rex went on their own journey. They joined sides with “The Masked Phantom” who turned out to be Richard. The entire group has been traveling together since.
Other:
She is the second oldest in the group. Nick uses an unusual style of Pokemon Battling called, “Colorguard” where she communicates with her Pokemon through colored flags instead of through voice. She does certain motions to where Pokemon can understand her (fist through an orange / red flag means “Brick Break”). She carries hundreds of different flags in a quiver on her back.

Seen as “completely useless” due to his lazy nature, Rex has no motivation to due anything. It"s often mentioned that it is an absolute miracle that he even managed to catch a Pokemon and train it (Heracross), although he isn"t much of a trainer. Despite not training Pokemon, Rex is a “superior” Pokemon Battler, as he excels in Pokemon Battles, and Pokemon is seen as a second nature to him. Although Rex"s lazy nature still remains, he easily tries to get out doing things, being an expert escapist and spends much of his time sleeping and eating, while not doing much else. He is forced onto the Pokemon journey by Nick, originally. Similar to Nick, he can be quite friendly and kind hearted, having a certain sense of justice.

Biography:
One of the members of the childhood trio of Nick, and Richard. He was the most ignorant of the three, and seemed to spend more time laying around than playing like a normal child. Rex doesn"t really care about his Father, but was raised by his single mother. He has a younger sister who wants to be a Pokemon trainer herself, and he is overprotective over her when he wants to be.
He was the only one who didn"t leave on a journey staying behind with his Heracross and his wild companion, Butterfree (who he later caught, later catching a Magmar). He had found out about Richard gone missing and became increasingly worried, but still spent much of his time doing nothing. Things changed when Daniella reappeared as “Nick” and forced him on a Pokemon journey.
Other:
Rex has a certain like for Bug Pokemon, probably for being out in the wild. In the fanfiction written by Cynder, titled “Under One Sky”, Rex is the Main character in the story, and plays a huge role. One of Richard"s nicknames is “Rex"s Shadow”.
