Welp, the names of the 5th Gen games are here. Here’s Pokebeach’s info and speculation…
The fifth generation Pokemon games were literally just announced on the official Pokemon website, and we translated the information within only a few seconds - they will be named Pokemon Black and Pokemon White! The two games will be released in the fall for the Nintendo DS and new information about them will be released on April 15th on their new official website. However, Pokemon Sunday and CoroCoro magazine will likely have information regarding them later this week, which we will post as soon as we get. This is so exciting!!
So why black and white? Why a return to colors? Why basic colors? Maybe the games take place in the past? :0 Or maybe not! We"ll find out soon, so be sure to keep checking back!

Maybe it represents going back to the first series of games, and going onward? Lots of people have been begging for a Pokemon game like that ever since Ruby and Saph.

CoroCoro ussually is the first to tell people about new Pokemon games if Pokemon Sunday show doesn’t tell the people first. If they do, then CoroCoro releases more info on the topic. Pokemon Sunday revealed the names. CoroCoro revealed the images.
Corocoro DOES play pranks, though. I’ve been 2 Serebii.net in the Fake Pokemon section and it said that 1 of them was introduced as real on the Corocoro website…

The fakemon was pasted onto a scan to look real. It was never in CoroCoro. No, Seriously. Look it up. They just edited the CoroCoro to make it look like this pic was on it. It even says “pasted” on Serebii.net. ARE YOU BLIND?! BLARG!
