Pokemon: Black & Pokemon: White

Not really. also, the grass type has a flygon tail. D:

The only reason they were so basic is because the original Pokemon games were created in the 1990s, when portable gaming consoles were just starting. Back then, they lacked a lot of the technology that we have today. There is no one to say that Pokemon would have looked the same if Pokemon R/B/Y were created more recently, unless someone from the official design team from back then came out and said, “lol you guise we wanted to keep Pokemon simple.”

Keeping it simple would only make it seem even more repetitive than it already is.

Also, there is no one working on the designing team for B/W who worked on the team for R/B/Y.

hmm…

has anyone noticed the new dear pokemon looks alittle likean old, manipulative friend of ours?
it’s on the tip of my tongue, i just don’t remember…

Here’s some updates:

English names :(

Region: Unova

Grass starter -> Snivy (crappy name)

Water starter -> Pokebu (no change)

Fire starter -> Tepig

WHAT TYPE OF NAME IS TEPIG. It’s like gamefreak is to lazy to name them and called it, the pig, without the h and the space. It’s also like saying I LOST THE GAME.

Pronounce it SNIVE-Y rather than SNIV-Y and it is actually a fitting name.

Water starter -> Pokebu (no change)

The water started was called Mijumaru, and is now called Oshawott (lolwut). Pokabu was the fire starters name, whgich has been changed to Tepig.

WHAT TYPE OF NAME IS TEPIG.

A combination of “tepid” and “pig”. Tepid, iirc, means ‘lukewarm’ or something of the sort.
But yeah, it does sound really like TEH PIG.

oops
